Who is Ryan Kalil? Is that him standing beside Rich Eisen the picture on the posted link? He looks like a farmer, not some media guy or team reporter.

These guys on First Take are a joke.

Instead of them saying, "Thank God Cam's teammates finally stepped up". Instead they say, "now he's learned  that he doesn't have to do it all".

And instead of Stephen A. Smith stating, 'Well the media was wrong blaming their losing on Cam'. Instead he essentially says 'whooptedamdoo'; saying, 'so what he's learned he doesn't have to do it all', like it was no big deal. And he still doesn't mention Rivera becoming a better coach, though he referenced him.

Such biased reporting. They can never just give Cam a straight compliment, or challenge/criticize his teammates or coaches for their lack of production (as if Cam could stop them from producing altogether). SMH

And though Herm Edwards briefly mentioned Cam's great situational Football, he still had to use the defense as a crutch to Cam. It just goes to show, when a show wants to have a certain agenda, they will do it.

And they called Cam's 2012 a bad year (unless they're talking about the won/loss record). SMH/LOL

Gotta Luv ESPN

That's how those guys on first take roll.  They never want to commit to giving players (all sport included) credit where it's due, that way, if need be, they can cover their ass, jump off the bandwagon and say I was skeptical or never really on board with said player(s) getting all this credit and attention.  Unfortunately, It's gonna take winning a SB to get the credit that not only cam and riverboat ron deserve at this point, but the whole team, especially from the first take "crew" and pretty much the majority of ESPN.

I shouldn't get sucked into this because I am almost 1000000% sure this is a troll job, Ryan Kalil is the starting center for your Carolina Panthers.

Now for my question to you, are you a teenager?  This is the only good explanation for that comment.

    • https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/versatile-2nd-db-named-panthers-154026075.html Smith-Wade's ability to play corner, nickel and safety makes him valuable to a young defense trying to rebuild after finishing last in the NFL a year ago. "Chau took advantage of an opportunity,'' coach Dave Canales said. "He made tackles. He had an opportunity on an interception, and he made it.'' Our defense has got to come alive for us to have a chance of winning our Division!
    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
