I hope you're right. I admit I'm a little shaken. I did not really expect to win tonight, but I expected better than what we got. We'll see what happens against the Jets. And I'll be at BoA screaming myself hoarse for the Saints game in Charlotte.

This loss can help us. It's easy to forget why you want to win games until you experience the pain of a bad loss after a nice win streak. Hopefully this just refuels the team's drive so this poo doesn't happen again.

Shake it off, learn from it, and get ready for the Jets. They're the biggest game of the season for a week, so let's treat them like that and beat them by 30.

Coming into the game, at the Dome, I figured we would be lucky to win. We didn't. Did I think it would be that bad? No. But, it happened.

 

 

Now? Time to move on and win these last 3 games. The Taints are a different team on the road, and something tells me we will be prepared for the rematch and handle their asses. Would've been rather hard to rattle off 16 straight or so on the road to the Superbowl anyway.

We were not going to win 12 games in a row to go into the playoffs.  Luke had his ass handed to him as did the entire D.

This was a wake-up call that is better served now than 2 weeks from now or even worse, in the first round of the playoffs.

 

Stay the course, learn from your mistakes, and Keep Pounding.

Eight games is a long time.  Get the loss out of our system now.  Re-gel.  Refocus.  Start preparing for the stretch run.  

 

But....I'm not sure we can fully disregard this loss in this same light.  We do need to re-evaluate.  Small things I didn't like tonight.  I thought AJ Klein deserved an opportunity to start.  It had become increasingly clear up to this point that he and Luke had good on the field chemistry.   Also I think there are a couple of plays Klein would have remained disciplined and made that Blackburn didn't.  

 

What does scare me is that we reverted back to how we played in the Arizona game, like Lafell's big drop in the 2nd qtr, and our secondary getting burned.  Could this just be an anomaly and we make a deep run to the SB.....heck yes.  However, does it become clearer the team needs wr and cb help in next year's draft....yes.  

 

One more minor concern:

 

I really hope the loss doesn't trigger the Panther's into playing the way they did pre-win streak.

Im not worried. We got beat by a good team at their home(where they rarely lose). This should bring everyones egos back down and we can focus on the remaining games. This is still a 9 win team with the possibility of more. Lot of positives still left for this season. The sky is falling crowd needs to promptly STFU or just GTFO.
