Best crowd of the season

We recently moved back from AZ and this was my 1st time at a home game in years. I am so proud and still soaking in the glory of the win! My son loves Brees and the Saints and today's game was one of his Christmas gifts and mine :-) I want to thank all of my fellow Panther fans for being so flippin' awesome today and coming alive in the rain. Those that were with us in 543, thanks for being gracious to my black and gold clad kid!

Man it feels good to be a Panther!

The whole way up from Columbia I was talking to the wife about how I thought the fans would clear out when the rain came. I am so sorry I ever doubted my fellow Panthers fans. No one in my section sat down while the defense was on the field, much less asked me to sit down. I have been to a lot of games. including the Monday night game this year and a few years ago against the Bucs and I have never seen the crowd this pumped. I am so proud to be a Panthers fan right now! I already have a set of playoff tickets on hold from the PSL owner I buy from.

Everyone in my section was chanting for me to do the "White Man Dance" when Hixon caught the TD.  Had to hold off until after the replay confirmed it.

If you have never seen me do the "White Man Dance", it is a display of the least amount of rhythm and swag as any human being on the planet.  But, hey...it is all I got.

Been doing it for about 5 years on every big TD and play.

Was very surprised when about 50 people around me started yelling at me and chating...."White Man Dance", "White Man Dance".

Now, I shall be heading to Atlanta to introduce them to the un-swag moves of one MadHatter.

Usually, on TV, you can hear what the opposing QB is barking out before the snap loud and clear over the crowd. I could barely make it out before the rain, but during and after Brees might as well have been mute. Meanwhile, things toned down to a nice dull roar while the Panthers were on offense.

Well played, Bank. Well played.

Idk if you recall the ref at the end confirming it was a TD. I rewatch end the game, and the last thing you could here him say was the ruling on the field is confirmed, then it was mute. At the stadium, none of us gave a fug after we heard him say confirmed.

It was my first game since 2011.  As someone who grew up in NC and went to their first Panthers game in 1995, this was the first game I've ever been to where it really meant something.  Every other time it was either early in the season or after they were out of contention.

It was by far the most energy I've ever felt at BofA.  I never heard a single person be told to sit down, I never saw security in my section (509)*, and no one moved when the rain came down.

*Although, I see did a man in the very front row of 509, seat 1, accidentally clock his wife.  He was super hyped, trying to pump the whole section up every defensive down, but unfortunately delivered an accidental hay-maker right to his wife's jaw in jubilation.  He sat down the rest of the game.

    • Love the Freeling pick even more after watching his pressers. Dude is sharp and definitely seems to have the right mentality. I loved hearing how personal he took having a bad game with a torn labrum and instead of seeing that as the reason for his bad game and not changing anything, it motivated him to work even harder. Such a great pick, we finally got our all pro level LT for the next decade and now we can move Ickey to RT or guard with no hurt feelings due to his injury. Second favorite pick is probably Brazzell. He said he false started on his 40 and it cost him probably 0.04 seconds, so he’s more of a 4.33 guy rather than 4.37. Really Randy Moss lite. I didn’t know anything about him prior to drafting him and first highlight reel I saw of him I immediately thought he looked like Moss. Then I saw the measurables and was like yep. Then I see that he’s drawn that comparison by many scouts and analysts. If he can add consistency and play to the level of his highlights every play then we got an incredible value.
    • During his three years at UGA he only allowed 5 sacks. He is only 21 and is on an upward trajectory. He's a great athlete that was good basketball player in high-school.  His height (76% how is this only 76%???? these guys are giants now), hands (81%), span (99%), speed (96%), quickness (10 yd. 86%), and explosiveness (vert. 96%, broad 97%) are all outstanding.  When we took Freeling, Fano, Mauioga, Proctor, and Miller were all off the board so we could have drafted Iheanachor or Lomu instead or waited to the second or third round to take Bell, Tiernan or Barber or wait even longer.  A lot of these tackles (including the first two taken) project to right tackle or guard in the NFL and that's not what we needed now.  Freeling has some sloppiness to clean up in his run blocking, but he's young and getting better.  We can let him get experience behind Walker and Moton knowing if he has to replace one of the two this year, his pass blocking won't get Bryce killed. Icky's not coming back from that injury as a nfl starting left tackle and Moton is in the twilight of his career.  If Walker has a great year, we will have to pay him a lot and if he is medicore we would want to let him walk.  Getting a LT on a rookie contract is going to help a lot with the cap.
    • It was cool but they have done this at least in recent years unless I am imagining it
