TD

Here's a guy that went from safety to linebacker. Do you realize what a jump that is? Gaining and losing 20-30 pounds to fit the mold. He's a pro's pro.

Every time I see him chase down a running back or tight end, I think, my God, this man has done this after destroying his knee three times. I popped my ACL once and limp every time it rains or gets cold or when I go 30 minutes on the treadmill.

For me, TD is the MVP of the defense if not the entire team. He's made play after play this year. Sacks, interceptions, tackles, this man has done it all. He's the soul of this team.

Regardless of what kind of accolades he receives, he is my favorite panther of all time. He deserves the pro bowl. He deserves a championship.

Let's get it panthers.

TD is a cool guy. If you go to training camp then you probably have seen TD out there signing autographs even after his second ACL injury which happened in mini camps. You can find a video on youtube of him talking about when he grew up Santa Claus never came to his house and he thought it was because he was a bad kid. So he started the Defending Dreams foundation to provide book bags, school supplies, bicycles and toys to kids that are less fortunate. That is the reason he was nominated for the Walter Payton Man of The Year award. Of all the individual honors that is the one I want him to win the most. The winner is honored on Super Bowl Sunday and the award is for being a role model in the community. Pro Bowl, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, all of those awards are for doing what your supposed to really well. Walter Payton Man of the Year is for going above and beyond.

TD is a man I will always respect and admire. He epitomizes what it means to be a true professional, and he was blessed with exceptional athleticism as well.

If he were to retire tomorrow, it should be a very long time before they give out the number 58 again.

58 means so much to this team and to this fanbase. He's a modern legend. Much like the late great Mills, TD is a force on the field and a humble and generous person off. His resiliency is stuff of legends.

Hopefully when we make the super bowl, he gets a special on him. The rest of the nation should know this story. True inspiration.

I 2nd & 3rd what everyone had to say about TD. He's always been my favorite player on defense & would have been one of the greats if not for the injuries. Still I agree that TD is the heart & soul of this team. Him & Luke together are so much fun to watch & in my eyes the best duo in football. Would be great if we got at least 3 more yrs out of him without any set backs. God Bless TD for all be does & what he means to the Panther family.

    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
