are there any panthers fans in Houston, TX?

I just moved to Houston from being in Charlotte my whole life. I was in ESPN the magazine in 2006 with 2 of my friends and we had a 5 page spread on how big of fans we are. I wanted to know if there was anyone around that shares our fandom. Please let me know.

I moved to Houston in 2005 (born and raised in Charlotte) and live north of Downtown (not "Uptown" :D ) Houston in The Woodlands. I rock my #90 and #89 all over town. Nothing in this life makes me happier than to see Carolina beat Dallas.... (i could give two corn-laden turds about the Texans). For all the Panther fans that might not be pleased with Jake... IT COULD BE WORSE.... we could have Schaub!

Where are you at in Houston?

Nice. I hate Dallas a lot too. I pretty much hate every other team when we play them. I live in the Galleria area in Houston. Are there any bars where other Panthers fans go to watch games on Sundays? I am not forking over the money for Sunday ticket and I like watching games with other fans. And I will not be able to stand watching Texans or Cowboys games.

"north of downtown"...lol...that's an understatement.

It is worse. We have Jake.

Perhaps... but at least Jake made it into the playoffs before choking on Cardinal feathers... Schaubby has yet to pull out a winning season, much less a playoff berth.

Hey guys! My wife and I will be traveling to Houston Dec 18th from San Antonio to see the Panthers beat the Texans. Just wondering if there are any tailgate partys or meetups planned in the parking lot? If not, then maybe we should organize one to gather all the Carolina fans as we all know there will be plenty of Texans jerseys around. What do you ya'll think?

    • Also, you don't really get good value by drafting a center in the first.
    • First off, we haven't been ignoring the defense. We have drafted several defensive players, but, perhaps more importantly, we have added good pieces in free agency. Secondly, the offense was still kinda bad (27th or so depending where you look at). You can't just say we can't pick an offensive guy while acknowledging that the offense wasn't good. Everything is on the table. Like I said above, it seems kind of counterproductive to say that we shouldn't draft an offensive player high unless they're at certain positions. The offense was mediocre at best. Sure, we had an uncanny knack to win some close games at opportune times, but the offense wasn't really good. To me, it makes little sense to put limitations on who/what we should draft when we need an upgrade at so many positions. What you look at is trying to get the best value--bang for your buck so to speak--and that's the way it should be. D-Mo has used FA to set up the draft in order not to be pigeonholed into anything, and that's the way that it should be.
    • Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen. With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.
