Forget that just rush 4 play zone

Confuse Kaep is the key. Bring the blitz. Line up 6 people on the line, line up 5 sometime. drop our DE's in coverage some time. he said out his mouth they owe us, well make kaep work for that victory physically and mentally

Again, we don't have the O GB does, but this is a real defense.. he's going to earn every yard and pay for it with pain

I don't understand why people keep thinking GB had a great offence this year. They limped into the playoffs with a avg team.

Rushing 4 means you can drop 7 and hopefully take away Kaps first read then the DL goes BOOM.

We will blitz some like last time but we are who we are and that matches up well for this game

True. San Francisco barely beat an average team today. Nothing more.

I was really surprised that SF played so well in the cold but so did the Saints. Home field has not ment much up to this point in the playoffs.

Saints are about to be blown out

They played the crappy NFCE division winner. They did what the Saints do on the road.... Turn it over, score less, produce less O. They just played a meh team and the NFCE had to send someone. Hawks will beat them by 14

They did what you had to do to win. I would still not overlook them one bit because they are still a good team.

This is true, but you can't make it easier for a team to gameplan against you by playing the exact same way. I expect Jim and his team to make adjustments and they have Crabtree unlike last time. I think whatever worked to limit Drew, will definitely limit Kaep and Wilson (besides keeping them in the pocket)

    • And, honestly, there's only so much you can attempt to do in the draft. And every draft pick is a roll of the dice. But that's where grabbing a ton of UDFAs, and targeting the best, makes a big difference. Sure, their individual chances of getting a hit here is less, but that shotgun pattern might just hit something.  Right now, we need bulk, partly to rebuild and partly to dilute the deep level of stank that has developed on this team in the last six years. If we're going to rebuild a culture built around culture, accountability and winning, then these UDFAs we bring in each season have to be the wash water that gets out that leftover dirt.  Canales seems to be a smart, culture-first, build up the good ones kind of guy. I like that and I hope he can keep it going here. But he was working against a locker room that had been taught to lose and taught to distrust or ignore coaches. He's got his work cut out for him, still. He does seem to have it moving in the right direction and that's something I was pretty amazed with by the end of last season.
    • The most telling sign, IMO, of a team on the upward swing is who we lost in the off-season. Who left that even saw the field? Woods, Clowney, Sanders, & Hekker. OK...no big deal. Clowney is the only 1 that I raised an eyebrow over and I get that it was a money decision. No need to pay him over $7M to take snaps from our draft picks when he was just OK last year.
