What 49ers Fans are Saying

Ahh we meet again!

I admit, before the first game we played i thought we would dominate you guys. Boy, was I wrong. It wasn't until after that game that the Panthers started getting some serious attention from the national media.

I mean we all knew about Cam and Keuchly but I didn't know much about Davis until he eradicated Kendall Hunter lol.

The battle in the trenches is going to be one for the ages in this game. Our offense is finally 100% even though Greg Roman's playcalling is highly questionable. I thought we should have ran the ball waaaaay more against the packers but whatever, we won.

I still do not worry about you guy's offense...although, yall have Cam and a good pair of RB's, outside of Steve Smith there seems to be nothing to really worry about.

I think this game comes down to the battle of the trenches, special teams, and whichever QB makes the most costly mistake(s).

Getting Rick Flair for a speech was a nice touch as well, I know that can't sit well with yall.

A somewhat non-arrogant 49ers fan... didn't know such a thing existed.

Mike Tolbert, Ted Ginn and Greg Olsen are something to worry about.

Not sure if the Ric Flair move was a nice touch or cheap bulletin board material for a team that already feels like they have something to prove... I guess we'll see.

BTW, your frequent use of y'all suggest bandwagon... Maiden or Gastonia?

Panthers offense definitely a concern.  Bye week that we earned was important to help turn that around.

I still don't get the Ric Flair thing.  Doesn't Harbaugh know the history about opposing teams pathetic attempts to get in the Panther heads?  Jets WR calling secondary "weak link", rams scrub db talking poo about Steve's wife and now we get the arrogant niners back in our house.

Glad you're not concerned.

You should be.

I'm from Texas. Became a 49er fan at the tender age 6 when my pops tried to force to me cheer for the Cowboys. That's the short story anyway...

It's hard for me to respect Teddy Ginn as a WR but I must admit he has caught quite a few clutch passes for you guys.

If the 49ers are even half as arrogant as their fanbase about this game, they're in big trouble.

Yes, they didn't have Crabtree or Davis (who we KTFO) in the first matchup and we won in a close game - but we won IN THEIR HOUSE.

Now they have Crab and Davis and our defense has them IN OUR HOUSE.

Don't think our fans can make noise when the time comes? Ask the Pats or Saints.

Alright, fair enough - I'll give you a pass on choosing anyone over the Cowboys.

Ginn's speed alone makes him a threat.

Lol at having no one except "Cam and two running backs."

We will be just as motivated as the 49ers if not more so. And "hottest team in the league"???? You guys BARELY beat GREEN BAY! Hahahaha. Now you gotta come to Carolina? Good luck to ya.

And who gives a fug about having Rick Flair come give a speech? Y'all need motivation from washed up wrestlers? Hahahahahahaha. We use it as a funny locker room antic post-game. You guys NEED it to muster every bit of self-confidence you could find. Hahahahaha.

Go tell everybody you're the man, you're the man, you're the man. We're about to knock that man the fug out!

Yes, we barely beat the best QB in the NFL at GB in 5 degree weather. Kinda like how yall BARELY beat us in SF. Who cares. It's any given sunday and it's the playoff. If you are expected to steamroll your opponent then you better think again.

You barely beat a very mediocre team with a god awful defense.

San Fran could easily lose to Carolina.

I actually like our chances vs Cam rather than Aaron Rodgers.

That awful GreenBay defense came within 1 dropped interception of beating you.

Don't worry about Cam, he will get his.

You need to be VERY worried about our D.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
