Russell Wilson's Hype

I'm not going to bash Russell Wilson because he has done much better in the league than most expected, but I feel he is often vastly overrated. Wilson is a game manager who can make a lot of plays with his feet, but for a guy who was considered a legitimate MVP contender at the QB position, his ability to make the tough throws is almost non-existent. Thoughts?

let's ignore the fact he's playing against a top 5 defense...the same way breeze is struggling against the number 1 defense.

Him and kaep have one thing in common.

They are both qbs that were drafted by teams already stocked with talent.

I wouldn't make the statement that he was overrated based off of one game. The last 5 or 6 weeks he was very unimpressive throwing the football

His pocket presence is his worst attribute in my opinion. As soon as his 1st read is not open you can see how he wants to escape the pocket. This major flaw often goes unnoticed due to his ability to throw on the run and his receivers' ability to make a lot of spectacular catches that have bailed him out throughout the season..

I won't say over rated but for the slack cam gets about pocket presence seems he should get some flack also

Wilson is actually pretty good at reading the field.

 

It is his height that is actually the issue, distorts his vision of the field when pressure is in his face

I like Wilson. Like others have said, the problem is that Cam gets too much blame/not enough credit.

wilson is very very good...and very very overrated. If Cam was on the seahawks I dont know if they would ever lose a game.

with the exception of st. louis, they've played all top 10 defenses after their week 12 bye...and the rams are no joke.
