Yeah you need a new O-line. Run blocking is solid but your pass protection was almost as bad as ours. Cam can get pretty scary when he has time.

We have zero run blocking. Our pass protection sucks....and that is what they do best

This is why I think we tag and trade Hardy. May be able to get somewhere in the teens and get Ebron and then draft a WR like Robinson, Matthews, Benjamin or Moncrief at the end of the first.

This offseason has the potential to really set us up for the future

ne of the top pass rushers in the game at 25 is worth trading to get Eric Ebron? I'm going to ignore that comment.

DG has his work cut out to be able to keep Hardy, Keuchly, and Cam...but losing any of those three I assure you is not in the plans. There might be some surprising changes this offseason but Hardy won't be one of them. Neither will trading for Sammy Watkins.

Stay put...draft KB or a big TE and be done with it.

No. Ginn isn't a Watkins. Just bc they are both fast doesn't make them the same

Watkins isnt overly big or physical... hes a kick returner/ weapon

it takes more than a 40 time to be a stud #1 WR

id consider him if he fell to our pick... but trade up for him? no chance

KB most likely will be gone by our pick.

We can't afford to keep Hardy, pay Cam, Keek, Stewart, CJ, re sign Gross, Mitchell, and get decent FA's. unless of course you know something I don't.

So in your ideal world, we put all of our eggs in one basket (DL). Then when the DL struggles like today, and Kap is able sit back and pick apart our secondary (which won't be able to get any better if we break the bank for Hardy) we're screwed. Need more balance.

And drafting Ebron would be us addressing a need while not having to spend big money. Can also draft a DE with one of the extra picks for a fraction of the price.

I'm guessing you were a big fan of Hurney? Good teams know when you get rid of there players and sell high. Hardy's value will never be higher.

Try to read some of this and not ignore it, you might actually learn something.

Good franchises know when to let players go, Pitty wasn't going to over pay for Wallace. And if it wasn't for Haley, they would have been in the playoffs again this year. Hurney tried to keep everyone and this is why we are in this cap space mess/hell.

I'm guessing you've never watched Watkins play?

6'1", 205lbs. Will try and run through corners for extra yards. This kid is alot more complete than you guys give him credit for.

He literally showcased all of his talents against Ohio State. Couldn't have had a better last college game before the draft.

ya 6'1 is big in college.... its average at best for a number 1 WR in today's NFL.

6 of the top 7 NFL receivers this year (yards) are 6'3 or bigger

smitty was the exception to the rule, you need a big man at WR

Oh really

You know how tall the man that torched our defense today?

While I think Sammy Watkins will easily be the best WR of his class, giving up too much to trade up would be risky. The important thing is using the first round pick on a WR, period.

The top three WRs are Watkins, Mike Evans from Texas A&M, and Marquis Lee from USC. These seem like the only guys really worth a 1st rounder. If two of these guys are gone by the middle of the draft, then it would take giving a 3rd round pick to move up. That's going by last year's draft.

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
