Don't see why not.

The next guy on the draft board if Lotulelei hadn't been there was Tyler Eifert.

If we were up for a TE in the first, why not a WR?

The Hurney days of alternating RB and LB in the first are over.

I don't see the upside to drafting a WR that late unless their sure handed run a 4.4 and are 6-2, 6-3. Otherwise we end up with another Lafell. Go offensive line or DB.

If the jags pass on Bridgewater they are dumb. They are like we were prior to the 2011 draft. They have no qb and it's not every year you have a franchise qb sitting there when you pick. I believe that Teddy is just that.

Blake Bortles is gonna be Blaine Gabbert 2.0. He is a relatively unknown QB with decent, but not great stats, who is way overhyped to create a story prior to the draft. He will FAIL without doubt in the NFL. Manziel will be better in my opinion than Bridgewater IMO. His ability to improvise is unprecedented.

I agree about Manziel. If he is sitting there when the jags pick and teddy is gone they have to pull the trigger. It would put butts in the seats and you can't win without a qb In this league. Both Bridgewater and Manziel will be gone by 3rd pick. I think bortles will fall a little, maybe to Minnesota, but there is a chance Cleveland would take him at 4. As for us, I think we go wr, unless a top OT falls to us.

    • And to think we could have traded burns, a pass rusher much worse than Parsons, for almost the same as Parsons... God we blew that chance
    • Would have probably just been better to go back in time and pick Parsons instead of Horn TBH
    • Heres my take on this. I hate to quote Joe Person and Daviance Newston, but there were reports that AT was not getting the same reps as last year. Now you can look at it a couple ways- Panthers know what AT bring and want to grow young WRs or they thought father time had caught AT enough to limit reps(thus faze him slowly out). Fact is AT hated that 2 win season and reports he asked or didn't want to be on the Panthers during the trade deadline last year..... just Panthers didn't care about a 2027 7th in return for BYs safety blanket.   I look at this as the Panthers just scored 23 scores in PS and they know AT wants no part of what could be anouther bad losing 2 or 5 win season. So go with the young ones and flip him back home for the value of a 4th. He's the oldest WR in the league, getting anything above coffee filters is a win.  The next 6 games will show if the Panthers were right or wrong.....
