All those crying OL OL OL needs to watch Seattle.

Denver Is getting in the backfield, but Wilson using his legs like Cam buys time to get it to plenty of pass catchers. Outside of Smith we have none. Beast mode isn't getting big gaping holes, he is fighting and running hard for his yards combined with Denver having to play its safeties back due to the WRs.

The DB: Safeties big hard hitters who can cover. Completely nullifying the underneath routes, completely shutting down the TEs, Completly shutting down the screen passes etc etc.

Going by the Seattle mold like Gettleman mentioned.

1st: Safety- Calvin Pryor

2nd: WR

3rd: CB

4th on down start to begin to worry about the RT

Or when they actual face a tough well rounded D. Denver's OL isn't the reason this game is like this. Seattles DBs causing turnovers, shutting down the WRs. Their WRs are getting open and catching passes when Wilson scrambles around when Denver getting pressure on him.

Manning has only been sacked once and been under a ton of pressure only late in the game when the Seahawks could peel back. Their corners have blanketed, their safeties have caused Numerous incompletions

Your stupid if its not the OL ......the team that beat Seattle or came close to it where the ones who could run it down their throat.........You need a physical team to beat a physical team............Its not like Denver showed up to play their was not fight in this game.........

I think we need just to bring in one impact CB via free agency, sign a few more guys to one-year contracts for solid depth, and go heavy on weapons and protection up front for Cam and we will be able to make a deep run next season assuming everyone stays healthy.

 

Seattle is going to have to make some very difficult decisions this off-season and next regarding their free agents. They have some cornerstones of that team hitting the market and won't be able to afford them all. They were lucky to win this year before their core starts to get signed and some start to leave and head to another team.

I still want a stud TE, ie ASJ. Wilson had several wide open overthrows and/or drops by the TE or things could have been worse. Can't have everything, but the short/intermediate/red zone/big play/blocking TE gives us more value in the 1st than any other position, obviously depending on who is available.

DB's and WR's are a must.  Those saying "the team that beat Seattle or came close to it where the ones who could run it down their throat"  We played them close as any team in the league this year, minus the Wilson scrambling away from the pressure and launching over our toasted DB's for the TD and the DWill fumble, e would have beat them.  Yes with our "bad" OL

 

Wilson has weapons, when he scrambles like Cam he has plenty to throw to Unlike Cam.  When "Beast Mode" gets the hand off he has less guys clogging the lane with the Safeties playing back due to the WR's

 

The Defense is Well rounded gets pressure, Safeties forces incompletion on short underneath routes.  CB's And Safeties shutting down the screens.  Our guys......when Monstars inc cant get pressure they get burnt, see buffalo, seattle, first half of miami, first new orleans game, san fran playoff game, second half of new england game etc etc etc.

 

 

lets see how seattle and san fran built the last few years.  

 

Step 1: bring pass catchers or the young mobile QB's.  Seattle- drafted Tate, brought in Harvin, and multiple guys who are capable of CATCHING a ball when the QB is scrambling.  San Fran- Drafted top TE in draft who arguably is one of the best in the game.  Drafted top super hyped WR in Crabtree (similar to this years Watkins), brought pro bowl calibre Boldin, Drafted WR in the first round 2 years back but so stacked at position they traded him away before he probably had a chance to get down the playbook.

 

 

Step 2:  fix the D not lopsided one way.  Seattle: their first round pick went via trade for a weapon for Wilson.  But Defensively they had a top secondary but the DL needed help.  What did they do, went out and picked up one of the top free agent pass rushers last year Avril, Drafted a DT with their 2nd pick (the 3rd rounder).  now on D they were balanced.  San Fran had a Tough front 7 the last few years but the secondary was suspect similar to our now, they went out and drafted one of the top 2 safeties in this years draft to shore up centerfield which anyone watching last night game shows how important that is forcing numerous incompletions on under routes run support etc etc etc

 

 

We can forget these 2 spots  and worry about the OL but we are still going to be a one trick pony and make only so far like this year like 08 etc.  teams who hold up to our pressure are still going to pick us apart, teams are still going to stack up the box to shut down the run because no threat at receiving

Just like San Fran vs us in the playoffs, (was even noted by the announcers) how less time Kaep had than Cam, didn't seem like it considering he was throwing all over us)

 

Put a OL of all-pros across the board, your still only to get so far with no receivers.  This isnt back yard sandlot football this is big boy NFL football they are going to get to the QB at some point even with the star studied line, so if no one can get open or Catch your offense is going to stall

who does SEA have as WRs? SF and Den had far superior WRs and TEs than SEA. 

 

SEA won with a dominant D, run game (helped by the OL), and a smart mobile QB.
