Media better be careful with how they play this "laugh & mock" the Panthers schtick. How will they down play Cam Newton if he leads Carolina to another division title with 4,000+ yards & 35+ TD with a bunch if off casts.

While presenting a design my mechanical design professor drops this gem on our group while presenting this morning, "You all know what a sinking ship is right? Its like the Carolina Panthers in Free agency". I couldn't help but to laugh. To add some context, this guy is one the geekiest/goofiest professors I have ever seen.

Not too sure how I feel about that comment just yet :startle:.

You know that he is a professor because he could not hack it in the real world.

I felt like there was.  The ladies knew where the smart guys hung out while I was at UNCC.  I got to know quite a few just going to class.

That's worth a hoot then.  It just goes to show that Huddlers' overreaction to all that has been said in this place over the last week is not a totally foreign concept. 

 

Though the overreaction to overreaction is sometimes entertaining. It's also hypocritical, if not hypercritical.

      The off season should be eventful, it was painfully obvious we need a 2C and a 1RHD The Canes have cap room and draft capital id be on the lookout for not just free agent signings but also trade moves..... Im actually leaning towards them addressing more via trade in the off season than free agency.

      I agree with this. Florida is going to be tough to beat. But they can’t keep that group together much longer so the hurricanes window might open a little wider.  My problem is the series should have looked the way it did in games 4 and 5. From the second period of game 1 thru 3 were an abysmal effort and the players just looked defeated. I was very disappointed in the overall effort until games 4 and 5. I think it’s very fair to ask if Rod is the right man for the job right now. If they’d gotten swept again and they lost game 4 like 5-0, id say he might need to go. But I think the team bounced back enough to give him another year with the front office going all in to bolster the roster. Failure to reach the finals with a full push to build the roster to win now, Rod goes next offseason, and the team focuses on retooling around their younger players.
