I think I know what you mean. But...don't all coaches coach "for their job" every game?

Rivera is Rivera. You know what you are going to get from him. He is willing to listen and grow, but basically he is going to be/coach the only way he knows. Give it your best, and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't think so. By coaching for your job I interpret that as changing a lot of things or trying harder. I think Ron always believed he was on the right path, it just took some tweaking to achieve the results that showed that.

I think Ron is a 100% effort 100% of the time, he coaches for pride, for the love of the game and the pleasure of seeing guys grow under his direction. He does it for the right reasons.

You can score without a true 1.

Oh definitely, but you need a legit run game, and several receivers that can make play when needed. Okay so we signed on receiver that had one good year. We still need two others that are proven. Oh and we'll need an offensive line that can run block and runningbacks that are worth their weight.

Agree, but it's still just March. I like both Cotchery and Underwood and am fine with the RB's, fixing the OL instantly makes them all better. Need to get Cam at least 2 more legit weapons.

I loved signing cason but I was pretty upset with the Harper signing at first, but the more I think about it I honestly think by the time next season begins our defense will be even better.. barring we dont get a crazy injury wave.

Offense... I have little to no faith in shula, but I think DG will field a decent group when its said and done.

Came in at 34 on the list.  Looks like they may have been dropped for having a weak schedule?  I think Im reading this thing right?

If you read the explanation it's not really a simple ranking of scoring defenses. It's a comparison of how a scoring defense compares to the average scoring defenses within the same season.....plus some other statistical mumbo jumbo.  So basically the season that the Ravens won the SB was a stronger year for defenses....or something like that.

So how do we get there? Well, Seattle allowed 14.4 points per game during the regular season. The league average was 23.4 points, which means that Seattle’s defense was 9.0 PPG better than average. The standard deviation of points per game among the 32 NFL defenses in 2013 was 4.08 points per game; therefore, Seattle has a Z-score of 2.20, because the Seahawks allowed points at a rate that was 2.20 standard deviations better than the mean.

Rivera will do nothing but improve. Anyone who thinks that he'll take a step back because of the extension is a moron. Our defense should be better next season than it was this season and anyone worrying about not making the playoffs should calm down. We'll be an elite team again next season.

Lol. Do you even football? Out of the top ten TD scorers last season, only 4 were WR. None of the top 3 TD scorers was a WR. You don't need a #1 WR to score TDs.

lol do you even shut the fug up

Do you realize that touchdowns are made by driving the football down field. Do you realize that moving down a field requires more than rushing yards? Do you realize that an offense in the NFL can not be single minded to be successful? No you don't because you're a fuging idiot, as many on this poo board are.
