will the panthers ever not be implicated in this circle jerk?

The dumb ass writers  could say the same thing about the Cowgirls...Jerry Jones is older than dirt and the Cowpukes own their stadium albeit new....

It's any easy correlation for the national guys to make. Fact is JR has stated the team must be sold within 2 years after he passes away. Until we know who the buyers are and the intentions of those buyers we will remain in the conversation. He was approached by a group from LA when the DNC was in town, that also keeps our team on this list.

Exactly.  No lease means that it can be bought and moved without the new ownership paying a ton of money in penalties for breaking a lease.

Out of a recently upgraded stadium in what is still one of the fastest growing most popular areas areas of the nation.

You can't convince me that old business savvy JR does not have a buyer earmarked that will keep the team here.

Only a fraction of that population cares about the Panthers. The rest are losers that fap to the Skins, Cowgirls, Steelers, Bills, Giants, Niners, Eagles, Browns, etc. Political pressure is going to be met with a firm hand.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
