Luckily this happened early, there's plenty of time to adjust and look at replacements. It's bad news but far from a season busting disaster.

its not a season busting disaster, but to down play this injury is foolish.

I understand that meeks runs a system that is based on smaller dlinemen, but he also had peyton manning on the other side of the ball bailing his defenses out when they were getting gashed.

This loss will hurt, and only is compounded by the fact that we have another starting DT coming off off-season shoulder surgery. Who knows what D-Lew's shoulder will be like this year.

He didnt have an offence that can run the ball all day though..

SSSSSh1......t.

That just SUCKS.

I can only imagine how devastated Kemo is.

I guess our line is wafer thin now....better start looking for a replacement. I don't see Kemo back for this year...an Achilles tear is not something that heals fast and it can be reaggravated easily. Big man ain't gonna be on the field this season....sheesh that really sux.

I hate to say it but this is the FO's fault. They were just plain stupid not to get better depth at DT. It is almost impossible to stay healthy at a position all year and we really had no depth. I know we were strapped for cash but this just seems irresponsible. IMO this was the biggest need this off season and we did next to nothing (seeing as I consider Irvin to be a project at best) to address this need. I thought the FO did a great job except in this case. Lets just hope they see the writing on the wall and find a way to bring in some depth now. Robertson anyone?
