It is asking a lot. Please don't put Forsythe out there. If so, I am buying life insurance for Bryce and making myself the beneficiary.

Must be about money. They have a QB on a rookie deal and are cap-strapped. Yikes.

I agree we are and should be looking Tackle at #19... But I'm starting to fear we can't find an immediate starting LT at that spot. Only a few guys I think can come right in and be a starter in this draft. So getting a FA that can start if needed should be priority in my opinion. We can't go into the draft HAVING to find a starter at LT. -
I think they might trade up if they can, if they fall in love with one guy, but if you are OK with Lomu and Proctor (I am), then if Freeling is gone, I sit and wait. If we trade up, we likely lose our Will ILB or Center of the future.
-
I know but this is a serious deal. The guy from Green Bay is there. Top FA option. He is what I’d call half decent, not trying to say he is anything more. We are sitting in a precarious position, with RT probably being an option as a position for him if or when we can upgrade or if Icky somehow comes back whole. So we could use him there in the future. He is a three or four year starter. The longer this draws out with nothing done, the more I see a costly draft day trade up. Rather not.
-
Our cupboard is practically bare, and we are depending on a crapshoot from the 19 slot. It isn’t what I’d call a strong position
-
Finding half decent LTs in free agency is rare. Going to have to draft it.

Not when you consider they're almost certainly targeting a tackle at #19. -
OT Yosh Nijman announces he’s retiring

Good chance our people had an idea of where he was at, it just wasn’t general knowledge. But I don’t understand their response, or lack of it, to the sudden loss of Icky. -

The lack of left tackle being next to TE and nickel in that first line is just baffling to me.

Can't imagine Brady going anywhere else, unless a team is truly desperate. Should be a no-brainer move for both sides here. -
Interesting that what the medical concerns were have remained hidden... And the timing of the pivot to a different player makes this suspect and seems a bit like buyer's remorse. https://share.google/Gt0M48FwR6htSOazq

With the retirement of Yoshi Ninjaman it is important that we sign Brady back. -

Miller is a real gamble. People say he is just a ROT. He has played about 100 snaps at LT in school according to someone I watched give a breakdown of these guys. Which most people have missed when talking about him. But that’s it. And thinking he can start at LOT off of that is pushing it. He fits into the hole Moton will leave, but I don’t know how much it helps us this year. And he is the one that keeps being there at 19. We need some kind of plan for sure. -

Having Christensen back is very important, IMO. He's one of the most versatile OL in the league that can actually play at a decent level. -

Brady is becoming an actual need now. What's his injury status? Will he be ready to play next season? I don't even know if he's injured at the current. Just know he usually is. -

Hurts on depth but ultimately he wasn't going to be replacing Ickey really anyway -
That is why I pay them zero attention when they log in and are like who are we hating on today. Look through a thread and parrot the same shite that has been posted for five pages. If you don't know who Gipson was, what the hell were you doing during the game last year?

Panthers signing WR John Metchie
Navy_football replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
XL is fine. He just isn't a complete WR. He's a role player. Don't think Canales fully came to grip with that until the end of the season last year. Hopefully he'll be used better next season. This team needs the physical attributes he brings to the table. -

The #Panthers are still actively looking in the TE & Nickel market. They are also wanting to re-sign T/G Brady Christensen, per source https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2032091365987754178?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA

Based on what I’ve read he’s more gap than stop ill see myself out -
For some people, he wasn’t McConkey that night in April 2024 when he was selected. The only thing that would stop that is XL pans out while their guy busts. There is a certain amount of Morgan hate that plays into it too. It is a black mark on him for the people that did not want him to be GM. But, it isn’t like XL doesn’t give them ammunition. He has loaded the guns for them, repeatedly. For me I haven’t seen him used very much the way I expected him to be, when they took him. That is hard to resolve in my mind. I know who I want to blame for it but don’t fully understand the why it went that way part.

NorthTryon replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are several good OTs in the draft with pro bowl player comps. And their projected availability coupled with the BPAs available around them will make them the smarter draft pick. We signed Phillips and Lloyd, so we can get the best tackle available on the board at 19. People who wanted safety or TE there would be horrible GMs. You have some franchise tackles in this draft and because of all the athletic freaks like Styles, they will be available. In conclusion, the BPA at 19 would be Blake Miller, Caleb Lomu, Spencer Fano, or Kadyn Proctor.
