If you need some ‘chills’ to start your Friday….

That's why when I interact with fans of teams who have never seen them in the Super Bowl they always will say something like, "I just want to make it TO a Super Bowl." I always correct them, "No, you don't. Voice of experience, I would rather miss the playoffs entirely than LOSE a Super Bowl." Any sports fan should know there is nothing in the sports realm that matches the feeling of a losing a championship game. And it's amplified so, so, SOOOOOOO much more when you have never experienced the other side of that coin. Man that poo sucks. -
His comfort level is throwing the ball while scrambling around. It doesn't make much sense, all factors considered but it is who he is. The actual Bryce X factor is going to be him stressing defenses in the intermediate and deeper parts of the field. That is the only way we aren't going to see stacked boxes.

Moore will still be a first rounder. It's rare that anyone loses THAT much draft value after one game. Plus, this is a QB desperate league. I mean, even JJ McCarthy was a top 15 pick. Pickett was a first rounder. Beck is a 5th to 7th round NFL talent to me. I do agree that finally drafting a QB has to happen, preferably Day 3. Allar, Nussmeier, whomever. We need to throw a dart at QB in this draft.

Burns has more tackles than Parsons I thought? I'm no Burns homer...I was glad we traded him, even though we blew the actual trade. Idk whatever I really don't even care I just wonder if these awards are all based on "vibes"

Bryce’s quirky scrambling is a mixed bag….while it’s better than expected it often is the result of him bailing and killing plays a QB should make in the pocket. So it’s often a trade down IMO

2nd??? Lol...what??
-
His price tag it seems is a 2/3. I probably wouldn't do that but I would think hard in the 4rth and most def pull the trigger in the 5th in the unlikely scenario he fell
-
Perhaps, but I was thinking more day three. Just to be clear, I'm not caping for Beck, I just see the potential given the right opportunity. I think that both he and Drew Allar are day 3 developmental QBs. Day two is a bit rich for me. I haven't researched Garrett Nussmeier yet, but as of today the only QBs that I would consider in the second round are Nussmeier and Trinidad Chambliss. Not sure if Dante Moore will be considered a first rounder after his performance in the Peach Bowl. And just to be clear again, I'm not necessarily saying that the Panthers should use a second rounder on any QB, I'm just generalizing. I absolutely do think that we should use a day 3 pick on a QB.

There's a much better chance that Cignetti hops to another school eventually than the NFL. I think the offers will get pretty stupid if his success continues. Also Carson Beck is terrible and not a serious NFL prospect.
-
This I 100% concur with. Hence why I keep saying that if that room stays static this offseason, I am completely done with Dan and Dave.
-
I don't disagree but to get beck you got to use a 2nd. No way this team does that
-
Yeah trust me I'm preparing for the inevitability. I am under no illusions about Dan Morgan's loyalty and commitment to Bryce Young and salvaging the resources to select him unlike some who for some reason think he has been lying and secretly hates Bryce Young or something. Some folks can't grasp a reality where Morgan is a firm Bryce believer.

Double reverse pass from a WR to Bryce Young on its way.

I don't know that there has ever been an NFL head coach that with zero NFL experience has ever started in his mid to late 60's. I don't think many teams would even attempt that and I don't think Curt would be interested in the ones that would desperately consider it. Beck??? In the NFL??? You aren't going serious, right?

If we do manage to eek out a win I have to imagine it would be in large part due to the moving parts around him and the Rams making multiple critical mistakes. And saddling ourselves to a $100+ million contract extension for a QB who has started all three of his seasons so far playing poorly at best is an enormous risk that could put us squarely in purgatory. And just for a point of reference. Rival fans who have also watched Bryce Young play quarterback would be thrilled for us to be locked into a long term extension. That is not a glowing endorsement.

There was a great article I read the other day talking about how much the transfer portal has added some level of parity to college football that has literally never existed in history because now you don't have 2-4 deep of 4 and 5 star recruits. Those guys can go and get PT at othet places. It has generally led to a MORE equal distribution of talent. Not equal by any means but definitely moreso.
