  1. Past hour
  2. You didn't see with your own eyes because you didn't watch the game.
  3. He literally made the choice. That's still on him. It's a David Carr special. Outrunning blocking while going backwards. For a 3rd year gut that is pretty bad
  4. Let's save each other the word salads and just see if we can agree on this. Bryce will be here in 2026 regardless. But outside of him we need a new QB room in 2026. We need a capable younger veteran and we need another young QB. We need new life and actual competition for the most consequential position on the field. If that does not happen we will assuredly get more of the same and the fans will begin another round of blasting each other instead of correctly identifying what is truly holding us back. Our decision makers. Let's see what they end up doing. All we can do is wait.
  5. How do you expect him to step up in the pocket when Ickey is being pushed to the spot you want him to be. Stills don’t tell the entire picture.
  6. They're examples of denying reality. Here are some others: ,- Bryce is the worst QB in the NFL right now (no he isn't) - Bryce is the worst QB in NFL history (no he's not; that's stupid) - Well then Bryce is at least the the worst QB in the league over the last three years (nope, he's actually improved a lot since year one, which was a turbulent year anyway) - That's not true, he hasn't Improved one but since his rookie year (oh come on) - Well, even if he did, we can't win with him (obviously we can) - Yeah but not unless everyone else is damn near perfect (think the game film from our wins this year would back that up?) - Even so, we won those games in spite of him (officially the stupidest argument available) And no, those are made up. You can find those quotes and other equally moronic statements in various threads around the board. I know some folks always need to characterize whatever they're against as the worst thing in existence. It's hyperbole, and it's hypersilly. Likewise, you've got some who are so absolutely emotional about it that even if you think Bryce isn't good enough (which I do) they'll still call you a stan if you don't agree to label him the lousiest passer in existence It's just dumb, and it's not realistic. But on the flipside, here are some statements which are; - Bryce is indeed capable of both playing in, and winning, an NFL game. Not on a consistent level though, and consistency is huge. - He is also capable of completing mid-range and even some deep passes; hell, he threw a beauty this past Sunday - Yes, he has improved over his rookie season and over last year. Arguing against that is disingenuous. - Believe it or not, other players are the roster do make mistakes in games also. - And lastly, while I know it hurts some people's narrative and arguments, Bryce does indeed deserve credit for the winning games he's played in this season. ... Every single one of those statements is true. And since i acknowledge all that, I must be in favor of keeping him in place then Except I'm not ... Don't know of anyone who doesn't think he'll get the fifth year option. Not ready to guarantee anything beyond that, though. So bottom line: Yeah, Bryce is fully expected to be our quarterback through next year. If there were a logical, realistic path to acquire a more capable starter and transition Bryce to a backup I'd be elated, but that's a pipe dream. This where we're at I don't **** it, you don't like it, others don't either. But here We are so let's make the best of it that we can.
  7. What does it matter how fast the wrs are with Bryce he is not hitting them anyway
  8. Let's be real. Signing Matt Kalil who was at the time inconsistent at best was always an extremely risky move and largely initiated by the fact he was related to one of our most prominent players Ryan Kalil. Memories get fuzzy the longer time passes I guess. Go watch some old Panthers games with Ted Ginn nearly losing us games. Then watch Cam Newton keep going back to him again and again and again. Then read all the Xavier Legette criticism while making excuses for Bryce being swept by rookie 2nd round pick Tyler Shough. Throwing TMac under the bus is just further proof how deranged the Bryce Young defense force has become. Bryce Young can barely compete in this gutter iteration of the NFC South. Let's see him take this WR core to the playoffs in an NFC South with Drew Brees and Matt Ryan
  9. IMO, getting rid of Bryce will just reveal how bad Canales is. I would prefer getting rid of Canales so we can also get rid of Bryce. I view them as intrinsically linked at this point.
  10. I don't disagree, but honestly, this season has been better than I thought it would be. At the onset, I think I voted that we'd win 3-4 games (or whatever the stratification was on that poll), and here we are with 7 wins and potential for more. We're a sack hair from being able to sneak into the playoffs - yes, yes nfc south nonsense but still this season has exceeded my expectations. If we can somehow move on from Bryce and find some consistency, I believe the Panthers are trending upwards (overall).
  11. We gave Cam the highest paid LT this team has ever had. That didn't work out so well did it? Doesn't matter how much they're paid or where they were drafted. Can they play? Our #8 ROOKIE WR is consistently being outplayed by our UDFA 2nd year WR. And... Ted Ginn's speed changed the way defenses played Carolina. No CB in the NFL could run with him. Whether he caught it or not, you had to honor that fact. That's his signifigance. And Corey Brown ran a friggin 4.37 at the combine. What did our current WRs run? Just saying.
  12. No he didn't. He was looking to the right the entire time. When he realized Chase was on him, he braced for impact and protected the ball.
  13. You act like we gave Cam Newton the highest paid OL in the league and back to back first round WR's including one #8 overall for the first time in franchise history. Give Bryce Young Byron Bell on his left and Nate Chandler on his right and Ted Ginn out there dropping passes that hit both his hands multiple times in the same drive. And for good measure give him Corey Brown instead of Jalen Coker. Just win baby.
  14. So which do you think is more egregious? Not stepping up into this: Or not stepping up into this:Or this: Those were back-to-back redzone sacks taken by Shough Sunday.
  15. not for nothing, but Canales has said some truly wacky poo this year
  16. There is a point in the video it's clear he sees the pressure and decides to start backpeddling right into it vs stepping up and away from it. Watch it, it's obvious because there is a pause before he makes that choice to keep dropping regardless. That sure looks like it's on Bryce. It's not even an attack but just the obvious truth.
  17. So has BY ever failed on a QB sneak? Pretty sure he's batting a thousand on them. But if you don't want him to sneak it, then let someone else do it. You don't take it out of your playbook because you think your QB is too small. That's incredibly short sighted and lacks any form of creativity.
  18. Well, they aren’t laughing at Mahomes for not running the sneak…..because they know why KC now doesn’t. Which would not be why Carolina doesn’t. Every player in the field would know the difference in two situations.
  19. This is a real dumb weakness to have. If you have known you can't run a QB sneak with Bryce, why haven't you drafted a power back? You. Need a 235-240 hammer for short yardage. If not that, why haven't you drafted a taysom hill like gadget player for just this situation? Jalen milrose from this past draft would have been perfect for these short yardage 4th and gotta have it situation. If your committed to young commit to his limitations and adapt.
  20. Today
  21. And further more, give Bryce Jordan Gross, Ryan Kalil, Steve Smith, Greg Olsen and Tedd Ginn. Until then. The bitching needs to stop. See how that sounds?
  22. If I recall there was some emphasis on the refs putting the responsibility to line up correctly on the players. for years if a player asked before the play the refs would tell them if they were lined up correctly as a courtesy. Some of them still do, probably out of habit. But there are some refs that wont acknowledge the players request at all. One of those things players are just gonna have to get used to.
  23. See what I mean. Did I say Ickey was bad? Did you read anything even remotely saying that in my post? I said I love Ickey but he got beat on THAT play and gave up the sack on THAT play. THAT play was not on the QB. THAT play was on the LT.
  24. Man I get being up and down because the team is a rollercoaster and when the pressure is on they fold like a lawn chair but fưck this hit dog mentality. We better put up a fight against the Bucs.
  25. If you think Icky in his prime is bad let's give Bryce Young prime Byron Bell and tell him to win with that. Until then. The whining needs to stop.
  26. What does a 5th round TE afterthought nobody would bat an eye over if we released him have to do with the face of the franchise and the third highest paid player on the roster? You are being ridiculous. Yet you wonder why your threads are getting deleted. Nobody wants the old you Mr. Scot. Take a hint. Turn the page.
