All I know is that it's a good year to need a line backer. There will be quite a few in the draft
-
They should let the Texans rebrand as the Oilers and force the Titans to be the Pelicans.
-
I couldn’t summarize it any better, dude let his ego run wild and it cost us, I remember this idiot wasted a season and was non committal about cam being a franchise qb, then he went to the Giants and ran them into the ground too

DaveThePanther2008 started following Aiden Fisher
-
I was watching the game last night (actually 330am) and they brought up that Aiden Fisher calls out the plays the other team is running. This of course reminded me of Luke. I haven't followed Indiana football at all but I wonder that the Huddle thinks of him as a future Panther Linebacker Aiden Fisher's pro prospects are promising, with a strong track record of performance and potential for success in the NFL. His ability to read the game and make plays with precision, combined with his leadership and physicality, make him a valuable asset to any defense. Fisher's development at Indiana and his selection as a first-team All-Big Ten linebacker in 2024 further solidify his status as a top prospect for the 2026 NFL Draft Thoughts?

There is no doubt that winning on the field is the ultimate goal. But not far behind that is winning off the field / in the board room / at the bank. Beane has been meticulous in betting on Josh Allen being able to put on the cape and taking a band of misfits to the playoffs every year. That drives tickets, merch, concessions, TV shares, etc. Which all put money into the owner's pockets. The coach only controls what's on the field, and even then, it's mostly out of his hands minus time management as he doesn't throw, catch, run or kick for those 60 minutes. My guess is Beane has made that owner a poo ton of money through contracts (or lack there of), and staying the course financially when it's easy to overspend to get over the hump. That's why he's still there and McDermott isn't. My guess is they will hire a non-splash candidate that commands middle of the pack money for a head coach, and Beane will once again point out to ownership how he saved them $4-$6M with this hire, and they still have Superman on their team. New England has a first place schedule next year, and that's likely good for 2 additional losses, which would give them the same record as the Bills had this year. I knew McDermott was gone if they didn't reach the Superbowl.

I heard it was him showing up in NE for his ring of honor ceremony and talking about how great the organization was and the Titans ownership felt a certain way about that. They also fired/mutually parted ways with Mike Mularky after he got them to the playoffs. So making the playoffs as the Titans coach is the kiss of death. They've ran off the last 2 to achieve that lofty goal.

Could Morgan be eyeing Trey Hendrickson

No matter what anyone says about refs, coaching or whatever, this was the season where we caught some vital breaks on the way to 8 wins. I mean we could easily and I mean easily have been a 4/5 win team. If dave doesnt figure out this offense stat then the reality could set in early. thats why the icky news really blows, having to deal with that amongst our other issues just sucks -
If you look at the random Twitter accounts a lot of them started posting towards the end of 2022, so when Alabama was trying to gin up another heisman for him. i imagine the same people control a lot of these accounts. Tepper just uses the team media outlets and reporters, and maybe pays JT O’Sullivan. This never ending slop on social media is probably from his agent.

It's may also be harder for a big guy to get down low enough to hit a guy Bryce's size in the chest/waist vs a taller QB, especially with the QB protections in place. I'm not saying that they can't do it, just that lowering your center of gravity an extra 6 inches may feel a little weird and unnatural.

That night after the Final Four is a complete blur on Bourbon Street. Didn't Love turn around and beat Duke again the next year as a transfer at Arizona? -
Yeah, that could definitely be plausible on all counts.
-
It wouldn't surprise me if Tepper's Panthers PR has a staff group dedicated to keeping pro Bryce Young accounts across social media platforms churning out positive posts about him.
-
Seeing the comments that Beane was kissing butt to ownership this would not surprise me. Beane started out well but IMO he's really putting the Bills in the same boat he and Gettleman put Cam. Their decisions really had an impact on Cam's future. You have a generational QB and can't get over the hump and IMO it was lack of talent and not lack of on field leadership.
-
Well that is a bright side.
-
It's a two year uptick(although this year it was WAY up). My recollection of a lot of his missed tackles was going for the strip rather than actually tackling the person. I don't think it is concussion related, I think it's discipline and technique related.
-
Based on, Bryce? I very much doubt it. Do they try to do things that are tailored towards him, well, obviously so. But I don't think if you look at his Tampa offense and his Carolina offense you are going to see a bunch of differences other than perhaps Baker's willingness to stretch the field slightly more. If I recall correctly, I broke that down previously in here and it wasn't this gulf that people assumed it was. I do think the plays are limited but it's because Dave Canales designed them and is calling them. Do I think Bryce would be better in other NFL offenses or paired with other NFL playcallers? Absolutely. Do I think that will lead him to being a franchise QB? Absolutely not.
-
Nah and I can’t find it. Also holy poo there are a ton of sock puppet accounts propping up Bryce.
-
Missed tackles. Maybe shying from contact to protect noggin?
-
Interesting chart on offensive tendencies of all NFL teams
strato replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
So it isn’t limited? -
Do you have a video of the play? I am not recalling it specifically.
-
Horn's biggest issue this past year was just tackling and Chris Olave. Outside that, he was typically very good. He allowed a significantly lower passer rating this year versus last year. He was almost across the board better except for....missed tackles.
-
Yeah but it was a db blitzing from the corner and Bryce was about to unleash a Hail Mary (lol) and did not see the defender at all. jumping didn’t do anything and wouldn’t have stopped the pass. Bryce might be so small that big objects can’t actually hurt him. Kinda like swatting at a fly.
-
JC dipped after his concussion this year. Coincidence? Possibly. Possibly not. Might be there with Stroud as well. Brain clouds dulling reaction/processing. As if I have any medical knowledge, it seems possible though.
