Fisher is kind of little, about 6'1" 230.  They say not real fast.  But I have watched 3 games of his this year and he always seams to be in the right spot.  Reminds me alot of London Fletcher more than anyone.  He seems real smart and has a way of sifting through traffic and slipping blocks.  Most places has him in the 3rd to 5th round area.

He's not Luke.  Luke was much bigger and faster than Fisher.  He is not anywhere near where Luke is in coverage right now but Luke was not that good in coverage his first 2 years in the league and he improved a bunch so if he is willing to work on it maybe.

In short, solid, small linebacker, will probably play for several years in the NFL.  Will probably never be a star and is not Luke, but could be very good with a little work.

Instincts, study/preparation and being able to read a play make up for a lot with regards to playing speed. There's always going to be guys that win the straight up foot race, but hopefully your LBs are containing that so you don't have those huge break away plays.

Identical  height and weight as Thomas Davis coming out of Georgia.

I'm staring to do research on the off ball linebacker class this year because I think we need a captain of the defense like the Luke days. Sonny Styles, Anthony Hill, CJ Allen are some names to keep an eye on. These guys seem to have the same traits of being instinctive, playmakers, and solid tacklers like Luke.

This is what I have been saying.  We need that QB for the defense.  Someone who can diagnose the offense before the ball is snapped.  Luke was one of a kind but having a stud QB on defense in the middle will improve our defense greatly.

Check out Cincinnati's Golday.   I am seeing Lukish qualities (smarts, size, speed, etc)

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
