Falcons with Major Offensive Line Injuries to Start the Season
kungfoodude replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
They are all in on the rookie. The optics are bad across the board to attempt to "save" him from a beating by putting in Cousins. If you can't handle that schematically, you are toast as a HC/OC. -
I know. The amount of angst over Dalton and pining after these absolute unholy bums is fuging comical.

That's exactly what I've been wondering... Do you march out Cousins, who does not perform well behind porous OLs (to be fair, most QBs don't) OR do you send Penix Jr out there and hope for him to not get the poo kicked out of him? Not an ideal situation for them to be in. -
How can Houston be going into the season with that being the state of their QB room? Without an elite QB2 their Superb Owl chances are shot.
-
I'd be fine with BY, Perkins and Huntley. I'm ok with Dalton, but Plummer needs to go.

Cousins doesn't really play well under constant duress, so I am not sure that is something to worry about. It's certainly possible but I don't think it's likely. TBH, he does seem fairly washed. -
Yeah, the college homers are pretty insufferable across the board. That's one thing I notice with the non-college sports areas of the country that is really, really nice. That sort of homerism doesn't bleed into the pro fan ranks nearly as much. It's refreshing. IDGAF where you went to college, if you are great, great. If you suck, you suck. I will never forget being in Columbia, SC at a sports bar and basically the Panthers game being relegated to only one TV because all the rest of them were showing the Cleveland fuging Browns and their 19th string QB who was from the Cocks. About 80% of the people were there to watching this inconsequential bum in a game of zeo importance instead of the suppsed "One Team, Two States." That and several other similar instances showed me that the Panthers never have and never will be a SC representing team.

Hope this doesn't bite us. I've got this fear that Penix goes down and Cousins has a Dalton vs Raiders type game against us (as Cousins seems prone to do). -
It was mostly just the UNC fanboy contingent.

This is where the Huddle gets delusional simping over a PS/CFL player. Mills actually has had pretty similar results to Bryce overall. Take that for whatever it's worth.

Hope everything with the family is ok!
-
Texans gotta replace Mills to shore up that QB room. What will they do if Stroud goes down?
-
No. I think I’d prefer Perkins over Huntley.
-
I missed it. Had a family emergency. Just got home looked at the draft. Auto draft only picked 3 RBS. 3!!!. My season is done.

Maybe the most ridiculous pro bowl selection of all time? The guy started 4 games (played in 6), went 2-2 as a starter, and had 658 yards passing, 2 TDs, and 3INTs, with 137 yards and 1 TD rushing. Honestly, how did he make the pro bowl?

The trade we need to make right now per Enzo Flojo

Not only that, but it’s an inter-division trade. This guy got paid to write this? -

Would Huntley not be a significant QB2 upgrade?
-
I would take a shot on Muma. No way in hell he can be any worse than Claudin F’ing Cherelus who is slowly becoming the next Ian Thomas of making the roster every year. I also wouldn’t be opposed to bringing Morgan Fox back for depth.
