  1. Past hour
  2. Legault is also fairly close to returning, as well. Haven't heard an exact timeline. But, he's been skating with the team and is out of the non-contact jersey, last I heard. #BringBackTheWaffleIron
  3. I am familiar with all those players. Whether they took years to develop into their mature versions, they showed what they had early on. The kid is still a bottom third QB after three seasons. There are many of us who did see that coming and are not surprised. The cold truth is he elevates no one. He is more dependent on having things built up around him than should be expected from a legit 1.1 player. And we are still in a hole because of that 2023 decision.
  4. I won’t disagree on the practice time, of the coaching having access to the players. The NFLPA has fuged our game up with their negotiated restrictions. Put these SOBs on back two a days and get the coaches where they can be hands on, watch the quality of football be restored to what I (we?) grew up watching. But this is not some defensive HC with a run first offensive staff. The two senior offensive coaches have WR coaching g background. I am in no position to know what they have done but the evidence appears to say they should have been more pro active. I am not letting them off the hook because of the NFLPA and their crap.
  5. It is simply a team that is unable to beat the teams they should beat. If they do that, no convoluted tiebreaker needed, and a justifiable winning record. Team was 8-10 on the year and showed progress. But let’s not get carried away and throw a parade because of some fluke tiebreaker result. We finished 1-3 coming out of a bye and 3 of those were ‘must win’ games. Only Seattle was not a must win. So we finished 1-2 in must win games and backed into the playoffs due to a fluke. Generally speaking most teams drop a couple they shouldn’t and win a couple they shouldn’t. And that is what happened with our 2 wins over playoff teams. We stole a couple. it was good that we did that, but a true good team does not get swept by the Saints, with a QB making only his second start in that first game. That is what losing teams do. I have seen enough losing teams to know that. Aside from that, I understand the thought that we have arrived and now we should expect to win every week. But I don’t really agree that we are there yet. I understand the FO and coaching staff need to take that posture around the players, but I am worried if they really believe that and start making moves based off of thinking our window is open NOW. . I think one more season of acting as if we are building and the window is yet to open, would serve us better. You know, afraid we are gonna start doing ‘win now’ moves and undermine the build. We are really set up to take a step back now, with this harder schedule, with the unexpected Icky injury, and still with a lot of holes.
  6. Unless it’s cheap. He is only 2 years from 100 point season and plays 200 feet.
  7. I mean, if you could tell before he ever took a snap... ammiright? Reality, my friend, shows a massive history of the best QBs taking time to come up to speed. Those that didn't are very, very rare. Manning, Rogers, Manning, Young, Montana, Stabler, Bradshaw, Staubach, Favre ... the list of those that took a few years to either get off the bench or make it on the field just goes on and on. The list of those thrown into the fire and just getting burned up is even longer. There's no magic crystal ball. There's just good coaching, patience and a helluva lot of luck in these picks.
  8. I really don't think that's the case. There just aren't enough days in training camp or practices during the season to get the reps he needs. I think he needs to be playing ball everyday (at least a couple of times a week) during the offseason. Slow down with all the drills and working out. Just play ball. That's where he needs to improve.
  9. Probably right. I remember seeing videos of him running routes and lateral quickness drills last offseason. I don't think that's his problem.
  10. With Canales and a Idzik both having WR coaching background, and on top of that he has a WR coach, seems like someone is dropping the ball on him. We should be a place that is able to develop WRs with assets like that. If they put the attention into him they put into Bryce, maybe they would get some results. It seems like he is just allowed to be clueless.
  11. I suspect he does not spend nearly enough time attempting to hone his craft. Not as much time as he spends honing his social media persona.
  12. I am with you. I thought he was close under Wilks. And not the problem. That year they fuged it all up. There was no need to bring Mayfield in and muddy stuff up like that. It served neither player. Just counter productive, Neither got the work they needed.
  13. He is a very Evero EDGE. Limited pass rush moves, very strong bull rush and very good against the run. Likely would never have more than 4-5 sacks/season here but a great edge setter and run stopper.
  14. XL has all the physical tools to be great, but he doesn't possess the skill and knowledge intangibles. But honestly those guys are all over the NFL. On practice squads. His offseasons should consist of 7v7 only. He has all the athletisicm he'll ever need. Quick enough. Fast enough. Big enough. Strong enough. But just not a very good WR right now. What he's missing will only improve with time on the field with someone correcting him real time in game situations. Catching passes in traffic. Working his way back to the ball whenever he can. Knowing where he is on the field. Highpointing whenever he can. Pushing off without leaving your arms extended. Waiting until the ball is there before putting your hands up to catch. Tracking the ball over his outside shoulder. Leaving room on the sideline for your QB to place the ball on deep routes. I mean there's alot he needs to improve on. Some of it is related, so figuring out one will help him on another. Unfortunately, there aren't enough NFL practices or games to do it all. Just go play football as much as possible with a trainer. That would be my suggestion.
  15. Mensah's side have come to a settlement with Duke - as was always going to be the case.
  16. Good lord. You don’t take a guy at 1:1 that takes 3 or 4 years to show you something.
  17. What is an NIL contract? These are not paid employees - and college teams absolutely don't want them to be.
  18. Today
  19. LOL they fired Stefanski for that. Godalmighty. Actually that kindof sucks because I just remembered he went to atlanta
  20. After he returned from Injury under Wilks, I saw a different QB, we were calling him Cam Darnold Even before his Minnesota success, I wish we kept him(and Wilks), and think we could have built a special team around him, I even would have preferred him over Stroud If he wins, he will get to make 3 seperate NFL fanbases wallow in regret watching him raise the Lombardi You deserve it Sam!!!, now you will be the ghost in everyone else's nightmares
  21. Really hope not. A 34-year old winger on the downside of his career is not what I envision.
