  1. Past hour
  2. Top 6? I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't think Bryce has the potential to become a top 6 backup.
  3. I liked Sanders field reading abilities in general but his ceiling is fairly low and his shenanigans as a pro are, quite frankly, bizarre. I don't think he is doing himself any favors by being a distraction while also being buried on the depth chart. Don't get me wrong, the media would attempt to make him a distraction regardless but it's not smart to feed into it when you aren't having a role at all. This can also be said of XL, BTW. We are no stranger to this. It's a lot easier to excuse Cam dressing like a deleted scene Harry Potter character at press conferences when he is looking like a man among boys on the football field.
  4. I hear Huddlers throwing things similar about Sanders whenever his name comes up, but to put it bluntly, we don't know that to be true. What we do know is that plenty of Browns fans thought that Sanders had the best camp out of the bunch, notwithstanding not being given the opportunity to play with the ones. What has been reported is that Dillon Gabriel is Stefanski's guy, and Andrew Berry thought that Sanders should be prioritized (even if it meant that he would eventually trade Sanders due to Sanders having more value). The fact that many Browns fans preferred (and prefer now) Sanders, and that there was a split---or difference of opinion between Stefanski and Berry, isn't really up for debate. It's true. What this all means, at the end of the day, is that we don't know how Sanders compares to Hooker or anyone else because he really hasn't had an opportunity to play for whatever reasons.
  5. I don't think with a roster this bad we should be spamming picks at subpar QB's for development purposes. When the roster is a little more fleshed out, I would fully support that. Also, with our persistent evaluation problems, I can only imagine who we would have likely overdrafted in the past few years.
  6. He's talking about this year's draft as in the guys who are currently rookies, not next year's draft.
  7. That is probably true.. but was sanders so weak himself that he wasn't a top 3 round QB? He couldn't be any worse as a prospect as say Desmond ridder or that dude I forget we drafted in the 3rd round and is now playing in the arena league a few years ago.
  8. Agreed. And at some point Dalton won't be Dalton anymore there isn't anything wrong with drafting a young backup.
  9. Maybe, its too early to say but we have to have one. Rolling a poo vet out without someone developing seems like purgatory
  10. It's all bad. He's just the little guy on the top of this wedding cake of misery.
  11. Whatever the Panthers do going forward after this season it better be with a mindset that you always need some level of competition in the QB room. Nobody cares about how much the starting QB likes the second or third string QB's. They aren't here to knit sweaters they're here to play football and compete.
  12. Today
  13. The other option is to be patient and wait and see if a good HC gets canned from his current team. No way Minnesota fires KOC but let's say they have ANOTHER bad season next year. Maybe we could trade for him. I doubt it but at this point I really want someone with a proven track record of success.
  14. great write up OP but this confirms but my suspicions that there are a TON of names on that list that either don't excite me or straight up terrify me Of all the options listed. Flores, Minter and maybe maybe Morton get me excited we've tried the college HC, we've tried the retread HC, we've tried the upcoming offensive mind. All of these can work but we've simply picked three bad options What we haven't tried is a culture setting CEO type like Dan Campbell. I believe Brian Flores can be that. He will need a good staff around him on offense but at minimum guys will play hard for him. The best success we've had under tepper was with Wilks, it wasn't always pretty but guys played hard and we were competitive. The same can not be said for any other stretch under him
  15. Ill do one monday if that’s what is wanted. I just want to paint the picture of who is rising and available this cycle.
  16. I guarantee at minimum we would have a good locker room culture and the guys would want to battle for him I don't think Luke wants that though. reading the tea leaves on almost every interview he's done since retiring is that I think he likes being retired and dabbling in his hobbies and doing the Panthers radio. I don't blame him, I'd be doing the exact same as him
  17. Cam Ward's draft. I'm not getting into another last year debate on the huddle the last one cost me minutes of my life
  18. Technically this is true. Fitterer was fired on Jan. 8th, Dan was hired on Jan. 22 and Dave was hired on Jan. 24. Dan was the guy for the entire interview process during that cycle, more than likely.
  19. I wont argue against more attempts but its not like Sanders is a notably better prospect than Hooker.
  20. This was a very weak QB draft and there were players available that could help us immediately given the extreme lack of quality players on the roster at the time(and now). I mean, don't get me wrong, we mostly managed to avoid those players that could help us immediately.
  21. Morgan did hire Canales as they worked together in Seattle
  22. New QB??? Brother, Cam is just hitting his prime, IMO. I am willing to bet you he wins a league MVP in the next 3 seasons.
