  1. Past hour
  2. Everything I saw from the tape seems like what the doctor ordered to me. I saw a super hunger willing blocker. A guy who catches with his hands a mover in space. Hard to bring down, I saw a dog.. he reeks of what Morgan describes he looks at in terms of a prospect. Super athletic tommy Trimble? Trimble is more of a blocker... If you had a super athletic tommy Trimble wouldn't that be a good tight end? Not that he was foot speed slow but tremble isn't in this guy's class of athlete. Frankly comparing the fastest tightens prospect ever to Trimble is very insulting.
  3. You just spent your entire cap on defensive upgrades and saying you need a dr or nickel corner yeah that helps this offense that was struggling most of the year
  4. We already have a OL. Adding a weapon is definitely what the offense needs. Our weakest position on offense is probably right maybe center at this point. Don't see a first round center so tight it is in my opinion.
  5. Apparently from what everyone says Bryce Young plays best under pressure. Cant think of any more pressure than a rookie QB eyeing your starting spot. I think its time to stop caudling Bryce and make him work for his starting role. Let a rookie come in learn the playbook for a year and if Bryce isnt it, we hand over the reigns and not have to invest anymore future draft capital in a qb. Personally I like Taylon Green. At 6'6 227, he is a big QB.
  6. Yes and no, part of why people were saying that about this year's draft class was the expectation by many that Manning and Dante Moore would have been coming out. They very well could be the #1 and #2 picks in the draft next year, so hard to be too worried about next year's class for the reason of "they were saying that about this year" due to that.
  7. It could be Metchie, it could be Horn Jr, and even though I'm basically ready to move on, it very well could end up being XL too. But that's why I don't really like the idea of a WR in the 1st, I think we can find a way to make that slot position work with what we have and/or another signing or mid round pick. Drafting a WR in the 1st this year would be 3 years in a row while also hitting on an UDFA at the position in the same time frame, just a bad use of resources currently and sets you up for problems keeping them together as they all hit contract extensions at the same time frame.
  8. List your Top 10 youngish QB’s, including college guys, and include Bryce in there with a straight face. Josh, Lamar, Drake, Burrow, Mahomes, Jayden, Herbert, CJ, Caleb, Trevor, Love, Purdy, Nix, Hurts, Goff, Baker, Sam, Dak, Mendoza…….. Bryce Young isn’t a top 20 quarterback right now and certainly won’t be top-10 in 10 years. I sure hope our front office is smarter than that.
  9. What fans don't understand when they hear "BPA" is that what it really means is the "BPA for OUR team" which factors in things like the needs of the roster, scheme fit, etc. Every GM is going to claim that the player he drafted was the BPA. It's nit like you're gonna have one step to the podium and say "Listen, I know we passed up on better talent but damn y'all, we were desperate for a *insert position here*" even though it's very obvious rhats exactly whats happening with some picks in every draft.
  10. Watch out for Metchie, this may be one of the most over looked but one of the best FA signings so far. Tmac, Coker and Metchie imo is a legit WR rotation than we have had in a long time.
  11. WE HAVE A 5'9"QB THAT AVG LESS THAN 200YRDS A GAME! A TE is not going to move the needle one way or another IMO. If we had a legit threat at QB I'd say sure but nah man a TE is not going to help BY. We NEED to have the best OL just to give mini mouse at QB the possibility of success. Wtf do people think a fast, not completely well rounded TE is going to do to fix that problem when he wont be able throw it because we have holes still along the offensive line.
  12. Bryce has had a couple of games where he top fifteened it. Realize, to be close to top ten he has to do that 4 quarters, probably 15 times with a couple of stinkers thrown in where he is off that day. The good ones, almost all have inexplicable bad days. But overall you have to perform at a high level, dependably, to rate high like that. So that’s what it takes. Otherwise it is a low to mid 20s and people that just can’t do better after a few chances are backups.
  13. These “tight ends” don’t really play tight end Sadiq has like 0 catches as an inline tight end. They did a ton of HBack Screens and wheel routes and then they lined him up in the slot to run a straight line past the LB and dropped it in to him. There’s no refined tight end routes with a release off the line. Same with Stowers, you’re looking at super athletic Tommy Tremble’s. Don’t get tricked, watch the tape.
  14. Not a fan of WR in the 1st unless the team has reservations about Coker's ceiling. I think Coker can be a perfect #2 to T-Mac, and if that's the case, drafting a WR in the 1st Round this year makes no sense. Sure it would upgrade our #3 WR spot, whether it's the rookie or Coker in that role, but in reality it doesn't make sense for the long term. Doing that means we're drafting Coker's replacement, as if he hit on the pick, you can't have 3 WRs who all need to get paid within a year of each other or you run into the problems the Bengals are in right now, who are struggling just to pay 2 of them, let alone 3. We need to compliment T-Mac and Coker with a serviceable speedy #3 right now, which is a type of player you usually can get on the cheap in FA year to year or in the 3/4 round range. Then if we want to bring in a better #3 option, we do it in the 1st Round a year or two after T-Mac and Coker get their big extensions, as then it's a more manageable WR for cap purposes for 3-5 more years.
  15. Spurs have talent sure but our guys seem to be mostly going through the motions in this one. Not what you want to see with them on the cusp of playoffs for the first time in a long time. This group is young and has lots of potential but they beat up on some bad teams the last month and other teams seem to have overlooked them. As of right now I don't see a playoff series winner. Maybe next season with a little more experience and a few more pieces we'll be ready for the playoffs.
  16. Exactly what I was thinking. If Bryce doesn't show me next season that we shouldn't be considering replacing him, I'd love to go into next year's draft with two 1sts in my back pocket. Not holding my breath about next year's "deep class" though. That's what everyone was saying about THIS class this tike last year.
  17. This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
  18. The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
  19. These Spurs are lowkey loaded. If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
  20. Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well. Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world? Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
