  1. Past hour
  2. I mean I ain't trying to die on the Bryce Young hill, but this is a crazy statement. Who were Mac and Tua's receivers? Devonta Smith won a frigging Heisman! WRs don't mean everything but they matter.
  3. So you are telling us the that one of the highest paid CB's in the NFL leads in missed tackels AND penalties? How much is he getting paid again lol.
  4. Statistically Bryce Young wasn't anywhere near as good as Mac Jones or Tua at Alabama. He had the worst deep passing % of the three of them by a significant margin as well.
  5. Is that what it is? He's had it too easy for you? Lol! I never said BY is playing well. At least not consistently enough to be a franchise QB. That still doesn't take away what he did in college. He can play. He just isn't, so it doesn't matter if he can or not.
  6. I dunno man our running game was struggling to produce and we still did run it close to as many times as we dropped back despite being down for most of the game. This team does seem committed to the run so teams commit to stopping it and when your QB struggles to complete passes past the line of scrimmage in a game you're not gonna force defenses to back off.
  7. If he is actually injured I don't expect the NFL to do anything about it either way. If it were us we'd probably already have been docked draft picks. I didn't think Bowles should have been hired a second time. I thought Arians was largely overrated too. I think the Bucs have been getting by on the talent of that roster and the job their general manager has done. Arians and Bowles each have a ring solely thanks to Tom Brady.
  8. He definitely had talent around him. But they weren't the only reason he won the Heisman. I mean he is the only QB to ever win it at Bama - with the same number of 5 star players and coaches. I remember watching games and thinking this lil mofo is a baller. Still didn't want him. Because the team wasn't ready for a 1st round rookie QB. Bottom line - Bama Bryce was a friggin baller. Carolina Bryce is NOT.
  9. Wouldn’t mind seeing a little pregame skirmish between Bucs players and coaches.
  10. Bryce Young has had the best coaching top end talent and been afforded every benefit of the doubt his entire life before he got to the NFL. He's never had to face adversity like this. CJ Stroud was basically labeled an ignoramus leading up to the draft. You can fill the entire WR room with burners and it still won't matter if Bryce Young can't stop bailing from the pocket and killing plays and even if he does get the ball out they'll still have to slow up or contort themselves to haul in many of his passes. You guys crack me up.
  11. Baker doesn't look right that's all I know. I would take Coen over Bowles everyday. On thr flip side, Bowles did better in Tampa than I ever guessed. Things change, some is hype and some is the new normal. I certainly don't know
  12. Most of the talk revolving around Baker's injury is speculation. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bucs have been gaming the injury report but Bowles has already been fired from one head coaching gig. He's decidedly mediocre at best as a head coach. I just don't want to see the Bucs upgrade. But if they do fire Bowles and hire a first time head coach I think things could get bumpy with Baker Mayfield at the helm sooner or later. As far as Coen it's still early. I remember when Brian Daboll was a hot name his first couple seasons with the Giants. Now he's unemployed. It's a marathon not a sprint. We're seeing less and less coaches with true staying power. Or at least certainly less that don't ultimately hit a wall by year 3 or 4. I don't think we're gonna see too many John Harbaugh's and Mike Tomlin's in the coming years. Too much outside noise and too little patience nowadays.
  13. Frank what are you even talking about? He was the #1 QB in his high school class and the #2 overall recruit. Why would he be at a smaller school? Dude threw for dang near 5000 yards his sophomore season at Alabama with Jamison Williams and John Metchie. Good players but more speed than skilled. Maybe that's this dude's problem. Panthers keep bringing in big body WRs, but maybe he needs wiry fast guys instead. CJ Stroud threw for over 4000 that season too. Care to look at his receivers?
  14. You can blame DC or you can blame Bryce but reality is it’s both of them. Bryce is making the decision to check down so much but DC isn’t committed to the run
  15. Ok but playing a hurt QB and then letting the Falcons and Panthers back in the division race is completely on him as a HC. Baker isn't right but I also don't know what's going on doen there. Their fans sure seem to be real unhappy with Bowles and more unhappy to see Coen succeeding in Jax.
  16. Bowles is incompetent in his own right but Baker is the same guy he's always been. An arrogant loud mouth who doesn't like to take responsibility when he plays poorly.
  17. Bowles is so getting fired. Dude should have sat Baker in our last game so he would be healthy/healthier. Really dumb move for them. I can completely see him getting fired and it sure looks justifiable.
  18. The whole backup O-line are FA’s. Going to take some money to keep a starting center and one or two competent backups around.
  19. It's wild that guy is even debating this fact. Bryce Young also played under the winningest coach in modern football history who also personally went out of his way to vouch for Bryce. Remove Alabama from the equation altogether and replace it with a smaller school and Bryce Young wouldn't have even been drafted in the first two rounds.
  20. Dude’s a head case like his brother, I’m fine with not bringing him in.
  21. I think we’re starting to see the limitations in his game—he doesn’t have the wiggle of Rashee Rice or Deebo Samuel. That’s why he skipped the agility drills at the combine. So he’s a big, straight-line receiver who isn’t good at the downfield sideline things that are required from an X. He’d be interesting as a big slot with some more wiggle. He definitely deserves another year, but he shouldn’t stand in the way of adding other options. Maybe he can find another role. Worst case, he’s big and fast and is a decent depth receiver—Renfrow and David Moore weren’t giving us more than he does.
  22. if you look at what was inherited with the dead cap 1/2 years out, yes absolutely.
