I figured one of two things when White was released. He is moving to the practice squad (or maybe Hooker but why cut him?). Or they had eyes on another QB for the practice squad or maybe even a roster spot. If they bring White back the mystery add probably didn’t materialize.

You really have to ask yourself why they cut both of them and left themselves down to the two pieces of poo we currently have rostered at QB in the first place? It is asinine. Absolutely ridiculous. My theory is that either or both Hooker and White make Bryce feel less secure with his role, so they chose to eliminate the distractions. No doubt in my mind, White is a better NFL QB than Bryce - he has the tape to prove it. Hooker is still an unknown for the most part, but I know without a doubt he has better presence and physical tools than Bryce.

we must give up 48 picks and DJ Moore for Bryce.....the bright side is Bryce will save us from having to spend and invest a lot into the O and it can't all be put into the rest of the team. Panthers proceed to spend all their picks on drafting skill talent to make Bryce not look bad and have to go out and spent more money on the OL than anyone else in the NFL LOL. Honestly, I'm not so bad with that. Let the other bottom feeders clear the chum a bit for us. Might keep us from taking the sucker's bait that seems to await the top of the draft order. Picking around 12-15 might bring things into better and more realistic focuses.

This front office could be gifted the first ten picks in the draft and still would get it wrong. We've got a QB who can't stretch the field, so we drafted a WR who only stretches the field. Stupidity. Instead of me (and a few others) screaming for Tyler Warren, who would've helped our inept QB in so many ways, including lining up at QB for gimmick plays that Bryce can't execute. Until we completely overhaul the front office, it won't matter where we draft. Good players in bad systems become bad players.

Everything is a 180 overreaction. People see a win as we are going to the playoffs and a loss as we will lose out. We will push towards 7 or 8 wins like we hoped for as a decent step forward. We were never going to be better than that with Bryce Young.

Clausen had a weak arm and slow delivery. Bryce is Clausen with a faster delivery and better pocket movement/scamper ability.

Anyone that said he’s a system guy never watched him at Penn st. He literally was their offense. Taking direct snaps, lining up as HB, FB, Wr, Te, the offense moved bc of him. The guy was an absolute unit on the football field.

Yeah. I am thinking someone’s backup. That isn’t a retread (like Dalton), preferably. Someone who has some tools and experience but hasn’t gotten a shot. If there is one of them around. You don’t have to wait three years to judge him, Canales can get his shot at coaching a guy he picked, maybe draft a flier too if there is someone we like. And the price wouldn’t be prohibitive. Or if it is don’t do it.
