  1. Past hour
  2. If we are giving Bryce unearned yards are we also taking away his missed opportunities when guys we wide open doen world too?
  3. The counter to this is there are only 32 Head Coach slots available in general, and a tiny number of those ever becoming available in a given season. Anybody with a career goal of being a HC (or being a HC again) has limited options. Why work for Tepper, even knowing you may get canned if he's unhappy? $5-10m/year guaranteed can ease a lot of pain for some people.
  4. and for those that say we fleeced Vikings on that Theilen trade are so excited to get late round picks as if we have ever drafted worth a fug.
  5. It's 2 years and 25 is year 3. That was true in 24 where he then laid a gisnt turd. 25 after 24 isn't getting a pick and it was always a bad bet after 24. I don't think he was even interviewed this year which leads me to think that it won't change in the offseason given his coaching level hasn't improved.
  6. it'll be the college route. how do we get tepper out of here and clean house?
  7. I'd say trade for picks but we can't draft. See Bryce Young. See Xavier Legette. See Jonathan Mingo. See Tet McMillan. See Icky. The problem ain't the players. If we can package Bryce and Legette to Miami for draft picks and maybe someone on defense it should be done immediately.
  8. This will never change. This team is the new Raiders. Continuing dumping your time and money into sub-mediocrity.
  9. Bryce has regressed and you saw it in the preseason. He's scared again. He's not finding open receivers or they're not getting open (AGAIN)
  10. The only guy to do something on Sunday, and it wasn't spectacular. If Theilen is here, we win this game. I'm glad he will pan out unlike our last first round wide receiver draft pick that'll be gone by the deadline. Can't wait for Tet to get an actual QB.
  11. Well, it's not a super serious post. But yeah, it is sort of fitting......Bryce is solo just watching a shell game on the jumbotron away from all his teammates....and the first thing he does that drive when asked to do something was immediately throw a pick. Not really the definition of "dialed in" lol. And the immediate pick just is the comedy icing on that cake. Tone is set better at some high schools around town IMO.
  12. Both of those things happened, and XL was supposed to be on the back pylon. None of that means that Bryce doesn't tuck and at least try to leap for 1 damn yard and the 1st down. That was a stupid play. In fact, it was so stupid that it stood out in a litany of stupid plays (not solely Bryce, the whole team made stupid plays).
  13. I'd wager if you put all 31 QBs in that exact spot....most end up with something better than what Bryce did there. They see Saunders. Or they at least put the ball in the realm of play for XL (4th down is an INT folks can handle). Or they just tuck it and cut back inside and try to fight for 1 yard if nothing exists. I don't think the majority of the 31 chuck it into the stands on 4th and 1
  14. Bryce played really bad in my opinion. Timing was off everywhere. Even screens. Not sure watching the jumbotron during a commercial break was the reason. That's kinda reaching.
  15. No, it wasn't solely his fault. It's just that his decision and execution ultimately ensured the failure. He gave us no opportunity to succeed. You can't sling the ball through the endzone in that situation. You have to put a ball into the field of play and hope to get lucky... or just throw it to the open TE. That would be the preferable solution but we're talking about Bryce Young here so just give me a jumpball in the endzone. Anything is better than slinging it through the endzone. Hell, even if you get sacked maybe you fumble and keep the ball alive.
  16. That sure looks like a catch to me!
  17. At some point this season I hope I can say Bryce Young is why we won a game that mattered, and not just that he isn't the reason we lost a game. This is a third year pro, not a backup, and we've invested a ton into this offense... Including him.
  18. Entire Panther team is all together getting ready for their drive to start. This is the 13:26 minute mark in the second quarter. Well, except for one player off by himself. It's Bryce uniquely separated from the group just chilling. What do you think Bryce is doing? Hyping up teammates? Getting on the same page for the upcoming drive? Nah, he is consumed w/ the Jaguars jumbotron and the silly games they are showing the fans. What happens his very FIRST pass of that drive? Interception where he doesn't see the S streaking down right in front of him. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOWX3HJiWix/
  19. So you think that the play is solely Bryce's fault and that all 31 other QBs turn that play into a passing TD in spite of an incorrect route from WR1, immediate blindside pressure, a lazy route on the opposite side, and WR2 not on the same page as the QB? That's a lot of oversimplification just to be able to blame one player.
  20. The thing with cleaning house… who the hell wants to actually work for Tepper?! What good coach with options would take that gig? There are literally 31 better teams to work for…. This is the WORST place for a coach to work… and it’s not even close. Auto-firing staff after 1-2 years will only make things worse. If candidates know they are going to be auto-fired when being dumped in to an impossible situation, then why even apply? Tepp has to show candidates that he’s calmed the f down. The best thing is for him to not make any major franchise decisions for a while. Just imagine where we would be right now with Wilks, Darnold, Foreman, Luvu, Moore, the king’s ransom they were offered for Burns and the picks they traded away for Young… tell me with a straight face that blowing all of that up was the right move compared to where we are today. Wilks and Darnold were bridges to a better place. My point being, EVERY major franchise decision from Tepp has been a disaster. He blows everything up, even if it shows signs of potential. He has refused to hire a ‘my way or no way’ type coach with proven NFL success. I promise you he doesn’t have a friend in the entire building. besides changing out Evero who has been given years to make it work, this is the best case scenario for the foreseeable future until the next draft. I don’t think Canales is the right coach for the job, but tying him to Young isn’t fair. He deserves at least another season with his own guy that he chooses.
  21. Yeah, he did. But what absolutely killed any chance of success is that our QB panicked and sailed the ball through the endzone uncatchable. That's why the focus is on that. Why do we need to do all these mental gymnastics to keep trying to come up with excuses to cover for the worst starting QB in the NFL over the past three years? What else do we kneed to see from him to admit he ain't ir? You don't trade up to #1 overall to draft a QB that needs everything to go perfectly to succeed. You're doing that because you think you're drafting a guy who can carry an offense.
  22. He needed another year as DC to get the team a draft pick. Had they let him walk before this season the Panthers get nothing. The irony is that they will get nothing anyway as no team will hire him as a HC. I'm not sure he could get another DC job at this point.
