I feel like at three years here, he could take the mentor training wheels off. Aside from that I wonder about whatever advice he needs from Dom concerns… he should know his XOs cold. I would think a mentor could help more with things like how to handle problems with his staff, with his boss, issues with players, more stuff like that than XO stuff.

I always looked at the Burns booty as including the money saved by not paying him, along with the draft picks. And looked at the 150 million spent on guards as representing that savings. It comes out to about a wash, 30 million per goes to Burns or to protect the little fella. You know who gets the attention. Not the defense. All fan bases have people that are gonna grumble about imperfection. It is part of it. That doesn’t always rise to the level of serious ‘get rid of them’ sentiments. It is just wanting more. Lots of people are hard to satisfy. I am for sure hard on any player making many millions of bucks, I just expect a lot for the tens of millions they get paid. The thing about QBs is people make them golden calves - where you can’t say things about ‘their QB’. Even though they are saying the same type of stuff all the time about other players…..

My feeling, and that’s all it is based on watching this team, is coaching and schemes do hold them back seldom is anything new or inventive from either We aren’t talking upper level coaches here Timid is the adjective that comes to mind. Canales seems to start games timidly and Evero ends them timidly i get there isn’t all star personnel on this team. I know the history No need to revisit that ..but you have to let your players play and if they can’t, you have the wrong players. what I’ve found in life is if you play not yo lose, you won’t win. Found him last year. He was less a Bryce apologist than a lot of the homers and he puts up all 22 video with the breakdowns. Which I like. I am not religious about him but do check him out pretty regularly. He is a Panthers fan and I like that he isn’t fanning too hard and isn’t too hyped. Some of the homers wear me out.

Icky may be able to survive at ROT if he can come back, we have a season to watch him rehab to get a sense of what is in store for him. But you have to get the LOT replacement this year. I guess if Moton were still viable for the following year, given we wouldn’t have big money invested at LOT cap wise, we may be able to absorb the 28 million or whatever it is for him in 2027 and get another year to figure out ROT. And all that money Hunt is getting.

Haha I mean all other positions are easier to find than QB. He got better from the atrocious level he was at in 2023 and early 2024 before he was benched, and even early 2025. He actually had a few “good” games in 2025. But he still just doesn’t look the part in every game which really is crazy for a number one overall now fourth year QB. I’d expect consistency from him now or else he isn’t the long term solution.

Based on double team rate, it's the exact opposite. Burns led the Giants in double team rate and triple team rate.
