You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint- Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.

THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted. Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.

NFL Network showing Panthers and Giants from December 2015 at 6pm
t96 replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
They thought Romo would save them LOL. How short lived that hope was for cowgirls fans. Was a lovely thanksgiving. As horrible as the ending to that season was, man the ride was an absolute joy, especially compared to what has happened in the decade since that season. Miss prime Cam, Luke, Greg, TD, Kalil, etc. so much. We have some young promising guys but not a single player on the roster since like 2020 has felt like a true Panther and leader in the mold of those guys. Shaq was solid and a great team guy but we haven't had anyone with the intensity of that leadership group from 2013/2015. -

At some point in the very near future though the potential and hope is not going to be enough. I would expect there to be the confidence to make an unfortunate, or difficult or complicated decision when the time comes, rather than throwing our hands up and producing more reasons why the supposed-franchise player still needs more of this, that and the other to be successful, not just "competitive." -
It will make more sense at the trade deadline when the team has less than 15 wins and is gutted of anyone worth having on an NBA roster. I hope I'm massively wrong.

You're right. This actually is worse. Although I would disagree that Bryce didn't show anything the last 10 games. He was significantly improved. Sometimes the numbers don't really show that but it was plain as day on film. -

There's probably no hard line in the sand I'm just hoping his play doesn't leave it in the gray area. Go out there and be the guy or just suck ass and let us know it's time to move on. -

I was impressed with his throw at the 6:08 mark, it was a tight spiral and on target. While it's unlikely he'll do that here, it just shows how comfortable he is no matter the task. -

I truly wonder what the threshold is for simply either cutting ties with BY or picking up his 5th? -

And I don't blame the Panthers for hyping the guy up. It's not like you're going to create hype by putting out the message that your QB is mid at best and you hope the roster and coaching staff can carry him. That's just not how NFL marketing works. When you draft a QB in the 1st round much less #1 overall and much less a massive trade up to #1 overall, you have to be all in on that guy all the way up until you're not. That's just the way it is. -
in prior years, the team believed Bryce Young was basically Joe Montana out the box. Carolina has been using the same Kool-Aid recipe for some time this time of year.

My hope is that if we aren't very good and Bryce plateaus that if Morgan is retained that will be his mentality. -

Yea took me way too long to realize this. The fan's only incentive is what's best for the team. The front office guy's incentive is what's best for him. And we'd all be that way. That's how humans work. -
but we aren't even mediocre. And Tepper's leash is not long. Might as well swing for the fences in Tepper's gutter. I mean, a bad year pending how it falls......you got to think folks like Dan Morgan have high odds of looking for employment.
