I'd say in terms of odds of the Carolina guys. Luke is the hands down favorite and carries the strongest odds. Then Peanut Then 89 *Luke actually in this year and the rest keep waiting.

Discussed at length when last year’s inductees were announced but yeah Luke not being 1st ballot is a travesty. Smitty should’ve been 1st ballot too frankly but his personality certainly has been factoring in. A lot of people don’t like the guy.

As much as I detest Ray Lewis for his murder involvement, and his making a spectacle out of himself in his intros, he was a really great player. But there are not many at all that I would put up with either of them.

With all due deference to all of the great MLBs. Nobody did it better than Luke. How many Top Tier QBs have we heard over the years talk about his uncanny ability to get his guys lined up exactly where they needed to be to counter even their audibles. If you think Smith doesnt deserve a Yellow Jacket and bust... you dont know football

Luke should easily have been in already, and should be this year. If you put prime Luke on our team we're probably instantly a top 10 defense lol. Smith should probably get in but I think it'll take some time. The other guys I don't expect ever will though.

Been watching NFL since the mid 70's (yes THAT old), Luke is one of the best to suit up in that time frame IMO, one of those guys that changes the game when he's on the field

It was nice to see Evero actually change up his defense a bit that game. More Cover 2 looks and more blitzes. None of that BS cover 3 zone every single play and get picked apart between the hashes because our LBs are crap in coverage

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that he is currently playing the position as perfect as it can possibly be played. Absolute dominance.

Is he expected back at all this season?

I’m sorry (to the Cam fans) but Jake is my favorite Panther QB. Rode in on a white horse to save the day, in his first game as a Panther. I think we were 17 points down at the half. He came out of nowhere, and BAM. And played great in the biggest game of his life too.

Not being able to find a QB got Gruden fired. Didn't he have like 7 QBs his last year and none were good. That should be firable for an offensive guy after that many years of looking. He had to play Jeff Garcia from the grave his last 2 years... Then they hired Morris lol

Who that compares to Luke was denied the 1st ballot honor? Maybe I should look. I am biased I guess but I don’t think with an extra 3 years with no decline, how could they legitimately deny him?

Maybe in a Thomas Davis thread. Brooks is at 2 now. To state the obvious. I don’t know orthopedic surgery but total speculation by me is maybe the first surgery was done incorrectly, and it isn’t just a weak knee thing. That got me. My knees would not hold up but that was in the old days of even one ACL ruining you.

I think Olsen for a 3rd was a pretty great outcome. We got borderline HOF worthy performances for a few years.

No. They have cracked down on the first ballot stuff recently because of complaints from the old guys.
