NCAA approves uniform patches, opening up new revenue streams - ESPN Dook and Tampax partnership incoming.

I was being sarcastic. He would fail miserably as a nfl head coach
-
Aka. While has been great, he will never get this team over the hump. I’m ok moving on from Rod if this doesn’t happen this year.
-
Paul is Rod’s daddy. Until he gets a couple more players. Daddy he will be.
-
It's crazy how the Bils have gone from bein considered one of the more promising teams in the league to a complete and utter clown show within the course of a few days.
-
I have no idea if he would pan out as an NFL coach I mean stranger things have happened. But if the argument that he could pan out is based on his NFL career my position is he has been comically overrated. To have had the hall of fame talent around him on the Chargers and only sniff one conference championship is pitiful.

Sean McVay/Andy Reid/Kyle Shanahan wouldn't have done much better with this QB assortment.... Daniel Jones (always injured), Davis Webb, Tommy Devito, Tyrod Taylor, Drew Lock, Russell Wilson (the washed version) and Jameis Winston. Daboll is a terrific X/O football coach. If he gets the Bills job, he will succeed from a win loss perspective. Whether or not he gets them to a Super Bowl is TBD, and basically on how Allen plays.

The Bills became the first team in history to win a playoff game in six straight years without ever reaching a Super Bowl, which ultimately cost him his job. I don't want that kind of juju.
-
I don't necessarily argue any of that. I brought him up, as well as Peterson and Alexander as non-qbs that won MVP most recently. The only 1 I am certain without looking up is Alexander, but I am pretty sure LT won, and mostly sure Peterson did as well. Peterson's downfall and last few years give me a bit of pause, but I think he won the award.

If we had a half decent kicker that wouldn't have mattered
-
I think folks that think he would be an immense asset, particularly for Young, is how skilled he has been at making receptions at or near the LOS, and then turning those into gains. It does stand to reason that a qb that throws frequently in that area would benefit from a CMC-type of receiver.

Daboll is an inansely bad HC. One of the worst in recent memory.

Without any commentary, let's see what we got out of trading McCaffrey: 2023 2nd Round Included in the massive trade with the Chicago Bears to move up to the No. 1 overall spot in 2023. - Used to draft Bryce Young 2023 3rd Round Traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers (along with the 2023 4th-round pick below) to move up to No. 80. - Used to draft DJ Johnson (LB/EDGE) 2023 4th Round Traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers to facilitate the move up for DJ Johnson.(Pick used by PIT for Nick Herbig) 2024 5th Round Used by the Panthers at No. 164 overall. - Used to draft Chau Smith-Wade (CB) DJ Johnson is no longer on the team, so basically the 3rd and 4th round picks were sent away. Smith-Wade plays only half the team's defensive snaps.

JNO pretty much shut down half the field that year. He would have had much more ints and PBUs if QBs didn't look the other way. QB passer rating really shows what happened
-
Have to remember Daboll is credited with developing Josh Allen into what he is today as the Bills OC. It's how he got the Giants job as they saw Daniel Jones as a Josh Allen in the making. Daboll took them to the playoffs in his first year in New York, then Jones couldn't stay healthy. Hard to walk away from or not have a soft spot in your heart for people who were part of you coming up. Daboll would be a good football hire. Rivers would be a great PR hire, and because Josh Allen can put the cape on when he wants, Rivers could fake his way to 12 wins with the right assistants around him.

People apparently forgot that offseason. Stafford and wife met with McVay in Mexico the offseason he moved. McVay convinced him to leave. Stafford went to the Lions and had a very emotional meeting in which he said he wanted to leave. They obliged based on his time there and the compensation offered(which included Goff). It was a very amicable split. People in Detroit still revere him to this day. He has been open about his affinity for them, as well.

going from High school to the pros would be incredibly easy

Smitty was a 3rd rounder. I’m not really saying draft one high at all, 3rd being higher than I have in mind for this year. I am completely with the people that say ‘enough’ high picks on “weapons for Bryce”. Enough of that. Don’t want a weapon drafted early, Yet Again. For that matter I wish we weren’t forced to address LOT because I want linebackers and big guys. And OL depth in the mid to late rounds. Maybe some late insurance at RB. A QB if the right one is begging for us to snap him up. But looking at the WR room and believing Moore is sort of redundant or maybe even not a great fit, and then just recalling the numerous calls for a burner, I was only really saying what I think would be the best type of addition.

I mean Rivers with no qualifications is probably better than the insane disaster that is Brian Daboll. Everything about their coaching search validates what Sabres fans have said about Pagula. That guy is an complete idiot.
-
If the Bills are even remotely considering Rivers everyone in that front office needs a welfare check.
