  2. You don't tank week 1-10, only when the maths states you are out. At that point you have a losing season. In order to ensure that never happens again, you want the best value/odds to achieve the goal. That can come in trade value package or elite players via the 1st pick in each round. The worst thing that can happen is drafting 16-19th due to wins that you, I, and fans will never recall in future years....But I bet you remember those old playoff runs, right brother!!!! Keep Pounding! Keep Smart!!
  3. I honestly can't believe people still watch this poo.
  4. The real question is: would Nicole want creative control and producer credit?

    Rumors

It was an awful go for all the rumor mill people, myself included. It seems the more I watched and read, the less was right. Plus no one on earth had Sanders in the 5th. No one had him to the browns after they spent a 3rd on QB, not one soul. The old saying was miss-information is in full effect until 1-2 weeks from the first draft day, this year it never stopped and barely any truth nuggets happened. Even the Panthers after 10 years of leaks, fooled 98% of fans, insiders, and podcasters. This Im happy about, great job for Brandt/Dan and the whole staff. BTW- Morgan must be one of the highest trade/movers come draft time. He must lead the league in not using the original pick. We will see if that pays off too.
  6. gotta be us sometime, right? Maybe if we get close to the playoffs this year, we'll get it next year. Adam Schefter Just in: Hard Knocks training camp this year will feature the Buffalo Bills.
  7. This picture never reached the peaks it should have.
  8. Im with you frend!! I've been Pro- purdy for years and gone rounds with @LinvilleGorge on it...BTW he is the matt rhule of QB opinions, love you LG!! *BUT* if you read that link I post.......Purdy himself stated he throws to a spot 40% of the time, that is self-incriminating damaging evidence.... I still need to think about it, I do not believe if I agree with my pre-40% blind throws self. I had him as the 8th-11th best QB, now I don't know...
  9. I did not, this reminds me of another live action type video game that never made it and has a huge cult following. Thanks for the 90s nostalgia frend!! My gods do I miss that era at USAs peak and it was my best on many aspects too.
  10. Many layers my frend- Panthers had a draft recently. They picked 4 defense players. Each player picked 11, 22, 33, 55 as their number. For some players that number match the round or pre-draft round rank, example- Prince was a 3rd rounder and choose 33. Nic was a 1st rounder on some mock drafts and Dan Morgan said they had him as a 1st, he picked 11. Cam Jackson recently switched his number to 55, same as draft and has been telling Dave he wants to be special over and over. The 44 was to add GOAT feels, thoughts, and more intrigue to this rookie phenomenon. X files cause it was a great TV show and maybe it was playing when this theory came together....... I hope this helps!
  11. The best things Purdy has are certainly important tools for any QB. His accuracy his timing his decision making etc. I feel like he is a high end Teddy Bridgewater. You can compete and win in the regular season with this especially in a weakened NFC but where his limitations come into focus is when you are trying to contend for a Super Bowl you are going against elite and in some instances generational QB's like Mahomes. And when the time has come for him to go up against Mahomes he simply can't get it done. Now certainly he is not alone in that regard and people will point to another highly regarded QB such as Josh Allen who also cannot get by Mahomes. But the difference I see is Allen is not IMO at a phsyical disadvantage in that matchup whereas Purdy is. And that is with what had been to this point a comically stacked roster around Purdy and let's be clear we cannot understate that regardless of which side of the fence we land on in this debate. Purdy has had a top 5 roster and a top 5 coach. And the last time they went to the Super Bowl they leaned on McCaffrey extremely heavily. Now with what they are having to pay him and divert limited resources elsewhere they face a steep climb to get back to the Super Bowl let alone actually win it.
  12. Lonzo mentioned Melo going to the Clippers, but he also said we would draft Dylan Harper and he isn't making it to 4.

  14. You'd think that after his Super Bowl performance all that talk would've died, but I guess that it's super easy to hold on to draft position bias.
  15. Williams isn't going to be here much longer. The team is all in on waiting, it's why they haven't been trying to load up the team and try to win. Also Ball wants to be here.
  16. Would give them Miller, Salune, and Bailey all at 6-8 or taller with shoes. Couple years Ball, Miller, Salune and Bailey with a center would be a possibly really good tall team that excels at perimeter defense.
  17. Yeah I'm not a fan of waiting on him to make that jump. He seems destined to play for a larger market and we have someone in Miller we can still build around. Get a haul for Melo and draft a G. I saw a nice trade suggestion on SI of him Ball to the Rockets for Smith, pick 10, VanVleet (who we can also flip), plus a couple future firsts. Two top 10 picks in this draft would be a great way to build around Miller and Williams. Smith is a solid young defender with a huge ceiling as well. I think it's the quickest way for us to turn this around. https://www.si.com/nba/hornets/news/proposed-lamelo-ball-trade-sends-hornets-star-to-western-conference
  18. Bailey's struggles shooting though, so a perfect Hornets pick.
  19. I was going to put goalie but I don't think they will go that direction since Freddie has been resigned.
  20. He's going to have to play most of a season while being effective shooting. Health and shot selection are huge knocks against him and he's going to have to prove he can get stronger, stay healthy and play winning basketball. Team isn't going to trade him because they expect him to make that jump. Also starting to look like Philly will take VJ, so Charlotte will end up with Bailey
  21. I wonder what they can get for Ball. I'm good with trading him if the price is right and drafting a Guard to develop with Miller. If the price is right now would be the time to flip him IMO.
  22. Goalie is gonna rear it's head sooner or later. If an option presents itself, it would be hard not to jump on it. Kochetkov doesn't seem like he will end up being more than a backup.
  23. You might want to go back and re-read that original post, dogg. You didn't read it correctly. As for BC, the market spoke and there was even an ESPN article predicting him as a 6th or 7th tier FA OL and being worth slightly less than we signed him for. He is great for us as a backup but literally not a single NFL team views him as anything but a backup OL for VERY obvious reasons.
  24. He's that offensive d man we love to grab to pair with a more defensive partner. If that's the mold we're gonna go after, fug it, keep him. He does well enough IMO. If we're looking for Slavin light, then be sure to find that or we just have a massive hole to fill on top of the others
