Not incorrect at the time it was written which was mid season last year

Yes, Mayfield is above average with INT %. He's actually very good there. I'll give you that. I'm not worried about rushing numbers. Young is 67.5% on 1st, 66.2% on second and 57.6% on 3rd downs. Mayfield is 59.2% on 1st, 66.4% on 2nd and 53.6% on 3rd downs. I bring all of this up only because I think people on the board have an idea in their head that is not supported by the facts. Everyone keeps bringing up his bad stats but when you compare them to other QB's with similar experience, they are all pretty much statistically the same. Better in some areas, worse in others.

The article unfortunately has incorrect numbers. See https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2022/index.htm, 2022 average yards 218 (well 218.5), https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/index.htm 2021 average yards 228. So we went from 218 in 2022, to 219 in 2023, to 217 in 2024, to ?? in 2025. My point was that is hardly a drop off over that duration / the last few years... So yes, long term decline, but in the recent time we've not really lost many yards per game.. We will see how this year finishes out. With Burrow back, he alone may elevate those averages lol. As to QBs throwing for yards, of the 6 starters that are throwing for more than 250 yards per game, they are a combined 48-26-1, so I'd argue that 250 yards in the air per game gives you a real good chance. In contrast, starting QBs averaging less than 200 are all on losing teams - other than Aaron Rodgers and Bryce Young.

Josh Allen is gonna be the best QB in the AFC playoffs hmmmm feels like this year is scripted for him
-
And maybe some Saints Bucs to see what we have to deal with
-
Time to watch the Bills Bengals highlights since I had to work earlier, looked like a crazy game
-
They brought enough off field distractions on themselves the last couple of years, bound to hit a wall at some point. fug em

I didn't fail to bring up Caleb Williams, re-read my post. I said he's an unknown. He's a 2nd year starter on a team winning games, but are they winning because of him? Hard to say, but he is contributing. Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories. Bryce is only ahead of the average in specific situational stats (4th down, GWD, 4QCB) and in TDs. And yes, he's done well on 4th down, but in contrast his 2nd and 3rd down passing rating is awful. Meanwhile, nearly every other player you listed is ahead of the average in multiple categories. Also, on their careers, Mahomes is still ahead of Bryce in 4th quarter passer rating (108 vs 105). But Bryce is great there. Of course Mahomes is phenomenal on every down, but Bryce doesn't need to be Mahomes. I just hope he finds his way to being a better QB for us.

Love seeing some empty ass Chiefs stands lol.

The article shows the numbers going down from 243.5 to 228 then 217.9 and then 208 (or 217 as you say) last year. They have been going down both long term as well as short term. Having a Qb's throwing for ovre 250 a game isn't necessarily a good thing any longer. Prescott and Mahommes lead the league in yardage but neither team has over 6 wins (unless the Chiefs win tonight). The drop-off isn't huge, but it is there.

Kelce needs to retire lol
-
I dunno much about the Texans roster decisions/injuries this year but surprised they didn't figure out anything on the O-line
-
KC is gonna miss the playoffs hahaha
-
Would not want to face that defense in the playoffs.
-
Gotta love the Texans getting the first on the run
-
I don't feel bad for him at all lol.
-
Kelce should of caught that, but both those passes were thrown behind him. The Texans defense is saving Stroud
-
He has been their best QB, which is a low low bar. why would they trade him?
-
If I'm Mahomes I'm swinging on receivers after this game. Good lord at the drops concluding with Kelce literally handing a pass to a DB.
-
I don’t really care who it is but they 100% need to bring in competition. This roster is ahead of schedule. Don’t waste it

Saying their numbers are below average because they have played injured is just making excuses that do not hold up. They did not play hurt. They played till they got hurt and then they didn't play - simple. Funny you failed to bring up Caleb Williams. Mayfield is below Young in: comp % (63.4 vs 62.4), TD % (5.0 vs 4.9) and success rate (44.9 vs 44.1). He is not way above the average in any stat - none. Not even "a bunch". And since you ask, Young is not only above average, but is the best QB on 4th downs. His passer rating on 4th downs is 156.3, ahead of Mahommes, Mays, Geoff, Allen, Hurts, Preskott, etc. Not only is it the best, but he also is near the top in attempts so it's not like he had one attempt and it worked. Mayfield for comparison is anear the bottom on 4th downs with a rating of 30.1. Another area Young is above average with is GWD and 4th qtr comebacks - since you asked.
-
basically forced himself to go for it on the second fourth down because of that first one
-
The Texans defense is fantastic
-
Aho hit his level as a player 3 years ago and has regressed. He isn’t going to take this team to the next level. It’s time to find a 1c
