Who were our receivers?
-
Yeah, that seemed very fake. The only fan meltdowns I found entertaining was that Eagles fan dude and he ended up being a fuging pedo.

I can't understand "grown ups" behaving like this. So immature. I just laugh and go on about my day. It's just a game.

"You can play the game with wishing we drafted someone else, but you can't say the framework wasn't sound. It was, we've just done poorly in choosing the talent to bring together. " Exactly - except I am not saying I wished they drafted someone else. I'm also not saying they have not tried. As you say, the framework was sound and I agree with what they were trying to do. If Theilen had stayed and Coker had not gone to IR, this year would have looked much different. Especially given how good Tet has looked. I would venture to guess all talk about how bad Young is would never have happened. But Theilen is gone, Coker is on IR still and all the offensive struggles are being blamed on Young which is absurd.

For Thielen? It absolutely is. Which other seasons were better than 2017, 2018, and 2023 for AT?
-
I don't think so...typically on a RPO, the OL will wait a beat before going downfield, but you can see all of the OL sit back in a pass block set. I think JT is right that someone just blew an assignment. If I had to guess, I think it's on Etienne which doesn't surprise me given he's a rook. edit: watching the end of the video from the QB view, it also looks like a good designed look by Miami by showing 7 but dropping the LDE back and rotating the rush to overload the right side, think that essentially left Icky and Lewis to block one guy and left Moton and Tremble 1 on 1 with their own men and no one to account for the right most rusher

Yes their best draft collateral was spent to support Bryce but that does not change the fact that they made poor choices. Drafting Mingo and Legette and were poor draft choices - ones that crippled the offensive play and did anything but help Young develope. Legette could still turn it around but to this point, he has not been productive. The spending is misleading if you use it to gauge the support given to Young. It doesn't matter what dollar amount you use on the offense if none of it actually goes toward given Young someone to throw a pass to.

it still amazes me how much blind loyalty people have for byoung. delhome and newton didnt get this much loyalty and they actually took the team to the superbowl. young has sucked since day 1 and showed almost no growth in 3 years and people still blame every coach and player on the team for holding his greatness back. i dont know how anyone can watch a game and not see his limitations.
-
Huh??? Pretty sure we have.. A.) Invested in the Oline... B.)We have two 1k running backs on the roster...along with a 2nd rounder waiting in the wings to get off IR. C.) Drafted WR (2 1st rounders)..the two that either he or his father asked for in consecutive years. We might not have an all pro squad to support him but we definitely invested in the offense. Side note: Before we pass judgement on the O, we might wanna wait on Coker to be activated. I wouldn't be shocked if we look totally different with him back in the lineup.

It's just performative to go viral. No such thing as bad publicity for attention seeking grifters.
-
Well they guy has war paint on while he watches the game on his computer so that might explain it a little

The draft investment is even more critical than FAs, so it's misleading to, well say 'its misleading because they didn't work out' and the positional salary allocation matters. You invest highly in a draft with the expectation/timeline of a second contract in the near future. So it directly relates to positional allocation. Unless you're stuck with an imbecile GM. Skill Positions: 2025: R1 WR, R4 RB, R5 TE, R6 WR 2024: R1 WR, R2 RB, R4 TE 2023: R2 WR Since picking him at 1, we've drafted 4 wideouts, 2 RBs, 2 TEs. Also factor in bringing in Coker (UDFA), Dowdle, & Thielen. Not to mention trying Diontae. We've done plenty. Also factor in that FAs kinda-maybe of have a say where they want to go. You can play the game with wishing we drafted someone else, but you can't say the framework wasn't sound. It was, we've just done poorly in choosing the talent to bring together.

I dont think I can take much more of Schlereth. FML that dude is annoying -
never did understand wrecking your own poo when a sports team didnt do what you wanted them to do Like why throw the remote much less go looking for chairs to flip?

We went out and bought the most expensive OL in the NFL for him We paid 2 1k rushers in the backfield sure, we didn’t go out in FA to once again give him basically the complete perfect cast in FA a 3rd freaking time. We got a team to build and literally every resource can’t be devoted to Bryce. But most of our best draft collateral has been devoted to Bryce. the entire argument of drafting him is that we wouldn’t be doing what we are doing. the spending isn’t misleading. The investment needed around him has been off the charts overall and he still is Clausen-ish.

Again, most expensive OL in the NFL. 2 1000 yard RBs. And a ton of young investments of every shape and size at WR/TE. In no football conversation would anyone describe that as a terrible situation…..you would only find it being argued in a crazy Bryce Young defense thread. BY makes no one better. He makes them worse and life harder for all. and you can go find XL threads before we drafted him….and it was talked about how he only made sense if we were moving on from BY because BY wouldn’t be able to do diddly with that type raw talent. It wasn’t a pairing. BY needs a 100 TMacs to make something out Bryce chickenshit balls. You want it the other way around. A QB that lifts all boats. Not the boats pulling the QB along
