  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, Ickey's injury threw a wrench into the works for sure. I can see a scenario where Morgan resigns Nijman and goes BPA defense at 19.
  3. Lew is ranked as the first or second center in this draft. Proctor is, what, fourth or fifth ranked tackle? Admittedly, it's hard to compare across different positions and make judgments on relative value. Morgan may very well take the BPA defender at 19 and Lew in the second. Lew might be capable of starting (yes, it might look ugly for a game or two), where Proctor would certainly struggle if asked to start at LT and be asked to protect BY's blind side. But I'm just a retired numbers guy so, what do I know?
  4. Yesterday
  5. 4 games in Seattle and Western Canada. Seriously, none of these 4 teams are that good, but I know better than to expect a 4-game sweep. Surprise me, please! Not hearing anything on the TDL front, either?
  6. I recently heard one of our YouTube content guys or a podcaat, cant remember who, say it would be our first. Im old i guess. That was our first games. I will akways remember working in a kitchen in college listening the the radio broadcast as we played Jacksonville.
  7. I agree, I think the cost to get him would be too high. My point is our 2026 schedule is going to be very tough to outperform 2025 and we'd be in a position to have a top 5 to 10 pick.
  8. We have way too many needs to trade up. There will be good prospects available throughout that also fit a need. If you had a crystal ball that could predict future All-Pros and HOFers, sure. But there's no sure things in the draft. Great prospects bust every draft and some mid to late rounders end up being very good pros.
  9. bro he is going in the top 10. It would take a haul to get there from 19
  10. I think that is a better idea especially since the LB group this year is pretty strong but the thought of us getting Styles is tempting. I would trade up for him ONLY if we don't have to give up a 1st next year.
  11. trade up? fug that noise. We need to be trading our ass back
  12. I would love to see us move up and take Styles but IMO that would cost us s 2027 first round pick. Our schedule next year is brutal. We will play every division winner and we were under .500. This is brutal and the possibility of having a top 5 pick is very possible. The bad season would almost certainly be because Young had a bad or mediocre season. Giving up a first-round pick would cost us the chance to get a replacement for Young. Thoughts?
  13. No I would not pay that. I would consider 12 a year but more than that I will have to be convinced he is worth it.
  14. It would be cool, but I thought our best shot was 2020 when we hit our 25th season and should have played Jacksonville.
  15. It makes sense to let all of our UFAs test the market—none of them are true “must-re-sign” players. We’d like to have Cade Mays back, but he gave us average play at center last season, and that’s a position the team can realistically look to upgrade

  17. I think we might end up going with Max Iheanachor, very high upside OT, in round 1.
  18. Any position that played a part in covering the centre of the field last year needs addressing
  19. They strung that along for years though. And still, after Brees left, have gone 9-8 twice, 7-10, and they won 5 and whatever the did last year. They look to be straight at QB again, I think Moore is a good hire…. I could deal with that in a few years if we could win a few years.
  20. Per Bill Barnwell: Lloyd will be a difficult evaluation for some teams. In 2024, Lloyd struggled so badly that the Jaguars really should have considered benching their 2022 first-round pick. There wasn't a great effort level from him on tape, and he looked like he wasn't up to the standards of being a starting-caliber linebacker. It was easy for the new Jags regime to decline his fifth-year option. And then in 2025, Lloyd was a different player. He racked up five picks, including that pick-six of Patrick Mahomes that fueled a famous Jags victory. The effort concerns disappeared. Lloyd managed 1.5 sacks and 10 knockdowns as a blitzer. He wasn't a great run defender, as Lloyd took longer to make tackles on run plays (5.1 seconds) than any regular off-ball linebacker in the league and made both run tackles and stuffs at below-average rates. But Lloyd was impactful enough against the pass to earn a deserved trip to the Pro Bowl. The real Lloyd is likely somewhere in between. It's tough to imagine him racking up five interceptions per year, although Lloyd managed three as a rookie. Most players didn't really put their best forward playing out the string for a hopeless 2024 Jags team. I'd want to make sure Lloyd was in the right spot on a competitive team, but he can be a valuable player on a defense https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47994520/2026-nfl-free-agency-best-players-available-defense-contract-tiers-market-barnwell
  21. Yeah the more I learned the less interested I became. And wasn’t interested much in the first place.
  22. Would you want to pay 30? I think it will be a lot closer to that than 12-15 when it all shakes out. I’m not thinking I want to, with Bryce still here.
