I can't read 12 pages of this but I'll just say this. CJ has the physical traits we wish Bryce had. But Bryce is mentally tougher and will continue to be a starter in this league while CJ seems mentally cooked and may never recover. He's been chasing his rookie form for two years now.
-
Don’t know if it’s to that level yet but is definitely concerning. We have no word on how Horn is doing either. Hard to be an optimist around that. Seems like they become more frequent and pretty soon you are not long for the field of play.
-
Sounds like a plan to me.

And you yours. -
This thread should've ended here. Anyone who thinks CMC wanted to be here, PM me for information on a dirt-cheap beach house I have for sale in Omaha.
-
I love what he did, but we won't be able to keep him after next year. The fact that Horn doesn't get targeted very often tells you who the opposition gameplans around.
-
I mean he's like a soccer player playing running back. I know he put on some muscle but still, he's a small guy. Mazda Miata in a destruction derby was how Rivera used him.
-
He head a great year, but he turns 30 next year. He also played in a mostly zone scheme on the opposite side of the field from Horn. I remember Evero mentioning he doesn't use Horn in man as much because he needs him to cover a large portion of the field while the others handle the rest. As long as we have this much money tied up in Horn, I don't think you can spend too much on the other CB. Hell I like what I saw from Thornton in his limited snaps.
-
The thing with Norman is QBs pretty much stopped looking to throw to his side pretty early that season. He was elite that season and neither of these guys are close to that level. However Mike Jack is better than given credit for. I feel like Horn is over rated.

I disagree. He would be acceptable as a Day 3 pick but that is about it.
-
He is probably looking at his last opportunity to grab a bag. He would be a fool to not shop around if he is excellent again.
-
Nothing about CMC leads me to believe he is sandbagging. He is too much of a competitor. He is just insanely injury prone.

I mean, you are welcome to your opinion. -
It would be foolish to let him walk. Horn had two concussions and has a history of injury. When you consider he was a terrible tackler before, you have to prepare for issues with him in the future. I would not be surprised if he misses multiple games again next season and actually gets worse with his tackling as he will NOT be looking to hit hard. As good as Horn is, depending on him to consistently play is foolish at this point. Hell, another concussion and he may call it quits. Luke and Jewel did.

You guys drive me crazy with that. It's just not true.

Sending out legit requests really ought to suffice. -
You dont know NFL.
-
Snack pack is not on the trading block. This is like two kids exchanging items that nobody wants.
-
At this stage, we know who are X and Z receivers are. Trading XL for anyone else who doesn't operate primarily out of the slot doesn't make any sense. At this point, just move XL and stick him in the Y Slot and see what he can do.

I mean, I did name the two guys that meet the requirements that they have done an initial and have second interviews scheduled with. That is from the NFL's own tracker. And, no, you don't change rules for fantastical scenarios. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-coaching-gm-tracker-latest-news-interviews-developments-2026-hiring-cycle -

I'd think deion would interview but honestly he would probably refuse to interview and just demand the job -
Depending on how badly the Bears want to trade him, they're likely to eat a good portion of the cap to see him on another team.
-
1. A true franchise changing QB 2. A team that drafts well If you don't have either of those two, there's nothing you can do to be good IMO. As well all know all too well.
-
I am with you. Give XL an offseason and a camp to respond. He may not be a 1st round level contributor but may be able to contribute to the team in a lesser role. If someone calls and offers a 3rd I would do it but if it is a day three thing I’d rather roll the dice on him for now. I bet he didn’t see this coming until it about just hit him. He isn’t that quick, unfortunately. Let him get his head around it and see what happens.
