  1. Past hour
  2. That’s where I am falling on it, in the practical clinical view. Take the hit on the smaller return you get from Chuba. I don’t think it will happen though
  3. The time to do all that was the offseason. We gotta lie in the bed we made rest of season.
  4. ....I am trying to build out a QB Success model. This is what I have so far. Give me some critiques or other input to help me improve it. Note: ANY of these being applicable make the QB a "success" in the model. Not any combination of them. 1st Round QB's Hall Of Fame 1+ MVP's 1+ All-Pro 1+ Pro Bowl 8+ Year Starter 2nd Round QB's Any of the above 5+ Year Starter 10+ Year Career 3rd Round QB's Any of the above 3+ Year Starter 7+ Year Career 4-7th Round QB's Any of the above 30+ Games Started 5+ Year Career
  5. Battle of 2-1 teams. Hornets are tied for first in the league in points scored per game and second in point differential. Tough matchup on the road, but if the offense keeps clicking, no reason to think we can’t win this game. Let’s go Hornets!!!
  6. I am fighting liking him because I do. I think if he had the tools and was a bit bigger so he didn’t have so much to work around that he could be perfect because I love his attitude. I said this last week. I don’t want to like him personally because I think I will have to fire him and I won’t want to. Have to stay detached.
  7. OK, then (I haven't looked). If it's as you say, and I'm not doubting you, then why in the fug would we trade Rico if it's relatively easy to get rid of Chuba, especially when we have JB (at least in theory) returning at some point in the future as well? You gotta trade Chuba and extend Dowdle, right?
  8. Allow me to clarify as I am sure you don’t catalog everything I post but there is some qualifying that statement that was done. I think the Dallas game was his ceiling. He played well for the whole game and didn’t phuck it up and contributed some nice throws. What he hasn’t done is follow that level of performance with a duplicate. And that one with another. No consistency. He is up and back down to date and that is clear as it can be, there should be no arguing that from anyone. He is a roller coaster. 2023 Green Bay, very promising. Followed by two shutouts. The end of 2024, followed by the beginning of 2025. The best stretch he has is 6 quarters, 2nd half Miami and the Dallas game. MAybe there is another 6 quarters somewhere but that is it. So I am looking for him to hit his ceiling and keep that floor a lot higher in this stretch of games.
  9. Let’s go! What a second half. 2-1 and our offense looking great, even with Miller out. Rooks balling. Melo and Bridges doing their thing. On to the Heat!
  10. And I took the bait, despite what my more sensible me was screaming. I saw what he did in ATL, and really thought we had something. alas, I have come to accept that he is what he is. An undersized dude who is more durable than I gave him credit for. He comes across as an intelligent guy who has gradually gained knowledge of the Xs and Os of the position. He does come up clutch in big moments but he lacks the physical strength to play in the NFL, and has not done a damn thing in his tenure here to prove otherwise. which makes me question his DAWG, sadly.
  11. I didn’t see the game maybe he got hurt but Slough was in the game in the second half when I checked the score.
  12. I tend to disagree with you a good bit but not here. I think Bryce was fortunate to miss this game because it could have been really bad for him. That is a very good team we played that didn’t even play their best and dictated to us. Canales wasn’t helping poo with his running back foolishness. One thing I’ll say is maybe he would have been more conservative with Bryce and run the ball more but with Chuba getting 2.8 I don’t think it worked like it did with Dallas. I said in the predictions thread that I didn’t think it mattered who played QB we would likely lose the game and I still think that.
  13. Im not sure you haven't seen everything already. What you've seen is all there is to see. There's not magical evolution that's going to take place where he turns into the next Drew Brees or Patrick Mahomes. You've seen his best and worst. The worst far outweighs the best.
  14. It's obvious Dalton is done/cooked/uninterested. After today, he has to be released. Who can we sign or trade for as a competent backup for the rest of the year?
  15. Dalton started it and sealed it, but you can’t let the defense off the hook when they allow those kinds of rushing yards.
  16. Can’t disagree with anything you said here. Dalton cost us the game by himself basically but the whole damn team took the day off (and that’s on the coach)
  17. Nah, I am not even talking about this year. This is the home stretch for him to show what he has and I totally accept that.
  18. I don't think anyone is settling on him except maybe the team. Im not sure how long that will last. As of today and for the remainder of this season he's the best we have.
  19. They were able to against a bad team in a Miami. We were outclassed today across the board. All,phases, including the coaching. Sometimes you just aren’t good enough. and honestly, where we are now I don’t think we should expect them to be good enough to do that against a playoff caliber team. edit: we were due for a back down to reality game. We just imploded or some people did. We have some good players but overall too many weaknesses.
  20. I accept that that is what he is, I don’t accept settling. I say keep looking. Keep taking shots. Absent any clear improvement from his current inconsistent performance. He has had a couple of good ones but they are not followed with more good ones.
  21. I literally said Dalton was terrible, I wasn’t defending him in the slightest. Solely pointing out that if he was THAT bad and still put up the stats he did today… shouldn’t Bryce be doing THAT much better if he is even remotely supposed to be our long term QB solution?
  22. I will say.... I think the one thing most of the huddle has agreed on is that DC is a terrible coach. I haven't really seen anyone defend him and rightfully so
