Alright. I think the Charlotte Hornets are officially at capacity with the current number of white players on the roster. 20240912_221847_1.mp4

The Miller trade is for a 2026 first round pick. (Not sure if Dallas or Canes own)

right? they have a choice to to choose to make absurd money playing a game. a team has the right to protect themselves if the highly paid athletes like to dabble in say motocross in the offseason and to discourage that type activity. I mean, Mahomes can still go play pickup ball all offseason. He doesn't go to jail or get cut. But if he gets hurt.....it impacts his money. So he is discouraged from doing it....which IMO makes total sense. XL is basically a bona fide country kid with money. That means ATVs, horses, and all sorts of fun. I think the Panthers should discourage his risky fun.....just like with anyone else. ATV accidents happen all the time. You know why XL was so eager to help and was helpful? Because is clearly an ATV guy. Our hero didn't stumble across some stranger stuck. They were messing around as country folks do.

The audacity of him getting muddy!
-
what did we give up for Miller?
-
I love Miller. Have always thought he’s a perfect fit for the Canes. Got to move someone out though.
-
My bad, yeah would have to think they would be moving someone and he would be the most likely.
-
They busy and have a ton of future draft capital.
-
Ghost being moved? Because I wasn't questioning the Miller move just stating I didnt like it.
-
Was reported by Friedman earlier.
-
Hornets have traded for Pat Connaughton and two second round picks for Micic.
-
Eeeh not a fan.... Guess Ghost is getting moved if true....
-
Wouldn't be shocked to see the Canes offer sheet a guy or two.... Cuyle for the Rags (they can't match) Gabriel Vila possibly
-
Love this move. Big guy. Problem is he is a lefty so who is he replacing? Ghost?
-
Kandre Miller being traded to the Canes.

Guaranteed money has to be protected. If there were no guarantees with pay I doubt the owners care what players do as long as it's legal. It's just the reality of the business in the nfl.
-
Good to hear. I have lost faith in a lot of things lately as bad as things have gotten and deemed it a plausible thing. I am interested in what the supposed penalty would be for a prohibited activity. They are banned from betting, but I know that is not relevant to this conversation.
-
You can't "ban" someone from doing something contractually. All you can do is create consequences for it within the framework of that contract. It's not like the Panthers could have the law show up and arrest him for riding a four wheeler because he's not allowed to in the contract. LOL
-
I wonder how many athletes ride ATVs. Suffice it to say that X isn't nearly the only one. I mean, yeah if you're out there being irresponsible it can become an issue as far as safety is concerned. Other than that, it's just something to do. The trails in SC can't compare to the ones in CO (but still fun). The scenario in the vid was no big deal though. Dude got stuck; X helped him get out. The camera man wasn't about to get in the mud, hence all his stupid comments. You could tell that he was young.

Great move! Stanky could be our future Marchand

Social media age everyone wants to film first. As far as risk and NFL contract clauses go I get the need for the convo. Just one of those things. But at the end of the day Xavier is just a legitimately good person all around. Now let's see him ball out in his Panthers uni.
-
I am cool with it creating outs, but not outright banning an individual from doing something.
-
I know my opinion/stance doesn't matter, but just to be clear, I would be cool if it were like... If you do this and get hurt, it invalidates your contract. Versus you are banned from doing this activity being not cool. Make the player assume the risk for their behavior and danger level.
-
It's not a problem until it's a problem. Pro athletes have to be smart about the risks they take off the field. Non-football injuries create outs in contracts.
-
Interesting topic. I have had a few NFL friends and one told me that he could not work out or train unless the activities and facilities were approved. AI: In many NFL contracts, certain activities are restricted, and injuries sustained during those activities can lead to the voiding of contract guarantees or even the entire contract. These restrictions often include dangerous activities like skydiving, rock climbing, or even engaging in contact sports like boxing. Additionally, injuries sustained while working out at non-team facilities or during personal recreational activities may be classified as "non-football injuries," potentially impacting the player's compensation. Having said that, I question the reason the person filming this was not helping. Secondly, the decision to put it on social media makes it seem a bit prearranged. I do not think this would violate his contract, but I do think it is a bit stupid on his part in that he could be injured.
