The Bryce stanning is relentless. Cam’s team won two games the previous season and legit was picking 1st. Bryce’s team won 7 games the previous season and was actually in playoff contention. And legit earned the 9th overall pick. If anything made that team worse in 2023 than in 2022 it was Bryce. Come on. And missing DJ, I’ll concede that.

Could Morgan be eyeing Trey Hendrickson

I see the logic in what you're saying, but I'd also say there were games with a bit more talent on the roster that some of the L's are actually W's. AZ - We don't get off to a crappy start and if this game is later in the season when Bryce is a bit more comfortable, I think we beat the Cards NO - At least one of, if not both of these games would've gone our way SF - Perfect opportunity to snag a win on the road that Purdy handed to us, but we couldn't do anything offensively TB - Final game was winnable in Tampa All this to say, I think 8 wins is about where we were at in 2025 if you take the games we barely won and combined them against the games that we barely lost. Add 5-6 new pieces in FA and the draft. We went head to head and almost beat the Rams in a meaningful playoff game that gave a lot of the youth that experience to take into 2026 and beyond, and I do think 10-11 wins is achievable next year. Not guaranteed, but much the way folks thought we could get to 8 or 9 wins this year as the ceiling, I think 10-11 is the new ceiling for next year. -

Milano at LB. We just have Jags at the position. Can still draft an LB. Likely has to be in consideration at TE. Sanders hurt. TT FA. Doubs, Alec Pierce, Shaheed. All three could really help this offense in totally different ways. Doubs feels the most redundant of the group but he is also the most polished and talented wr. Be done w XL. I still argue that Bryce needs an elite, Houston-type, defense in order to succeed here. I would legitimately find out the asking price to both Myles Garrett and Vita Vea. Cleveland is transitioning and will have a new coach. Vea is in last year of contract. Assemble the best dline in football. Bring in Milano to fix ILB. Corners are good. Safety’s aren’t terrible and Ransom looks promising. You’d have a 3 year window or so. Biggest issue w any plan is going to be LT. Idk what the fix is there. -
Pegula just went full Tepper. Everybody knows you never go full Tepper.

Big Ben on drafting a QB and roster building
PNW_PantherMan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea we earned the top pick by sucking. Didn’t have to trade the future to get it. I’d say by definition that’s a bad team. -
Yeah I don’t know. There were three guys that went right together. Bang. And they were sitting at 32 in front of us and SD. I figure they knew we were taking Legette if they traded with us, and didn’t mind that.

Big Ben on drafting a QB and roster building
LinvilleGorge replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm of the opinion that beggars can't be choosers. If you need a QB, you have to strike when you think the opportunity is there whether the roster is "ready" or not. If the opportunity isn't there, then keep building up the rest of the roster and try to find a decent stopgap. But if you're telling me if you're in a situation where you need a QB and you like an available QB and you pass on him because you don't think the roster is ready for it then I'm gonna tell you that you're dumber than rocks. -
A great team that went 2-14 the year before. lol

I feel like a lot of Josh's playoff losses are in shootouts and in OT right? Didn't they literally change the OT rule because he lost in a shootout with Mahomes and never got the ball in OT? This year he has several turnovers no doubt, probably because he is trying to play hero ball too hard. It was also a terrible call on that WR catch. Also yes Mahomes is the better QB no doubt. His franchise also built a better team around him. If the game is on the line Mahomes it the one you want above all right now. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/josh-allen-playoff-stats Josh Allen has a passer rating of 101.5 with 3,915 yards, 29 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 15 games in the playoffs in his career

Dysfunctional as hell, right now, but it will settle down once again with the right coach.
-
I mean, that's easy to say now, but it's not like McDermott was going to be fired unless Pegula fired him. I suspect that Pegula won't be any more involved with the Bills than he has been, as he just made Beane the football czar. It's Beane's show now, and all the pressure and responsibility that comes with it.
-
This is my fist time hearing of this guy!! Looking at the Bills Press Conference I'm glad he works for the Bills and not us
-
I mean, how many times have they benched him and otherwise punished him and at this point clearly stating that it's for stuff like this? It's not exactly "leaking" anything.
-
Also, Pegula said coaching staff. Not Coach McDermott specifically. Does he want them all out of there? Maybe. I saw speculation that they fired McD to move Brady up, but maybe Brady is gone too.
-
When you are picking where they are picking, you typically don't have it zeroed in on one particular player. I will say that we kind of did though, and both look like they were reaches at this point in their young careers. I agree in that Allen needed and still needs some help.
-
Josh hasn't always played well in crunch time. I mean, it's easy to play hero ball during the regular season. But let's not forget that they've had teams. Diggs would probably have something to say about "hero ball" and being run off. Also, I guess Mahomes is the greater hero.

An owner, publicly undermining his own players, claiming they didn't want him and it was all the coach he just fired and is also publicly panning. Constantly shouting and interrupting his newly promoted GM to Prez, complaining about refs, saying he fired McD because of the loss but the calls were the reason they lost. He was absurd and is rightfully being mocked around the league. Promoting the GM who, yes, did a nice job the first few years, and then has slowly watched the defense turn to mush and has never found a decent weapon outside of James Cook. Buffalo looks bad in all of this, and it's not a jab exclusively at Beane. Like I said, noting the parallels doesn't mean a one-for-one "Beane" was the problem. But it's interesting and watching this unfold is kind of telling the owner is in his own head like crazy.
-
The simply fact that they are letting it be known that a current young player on their roster was only there because of a coach that they fired just shows how dysfunctional it all is. McD typically kept it classy.
-
My guess is in general they all knew it was important to get Allen some help. OC probably had McDermott’s ear and gave his evaluations. Scouts too. McDermott obliged and advanced the preference for Coleman. I could see that more than McDermott thought himself a WR expert.

Yes icky is on the books with zero certainty of return, Moton getting older with knee issues…draft that versatile OT in the first or second if one is there…rookie contract -
I mean, yeah, what is he supposed to say? I don't believe it was a case of dying on a hill, just everyone showing a united front by being on the same page. I certainly know that McDermott didn't think that Coleman would be his undoing. I will say this, I'd be feeling some type of way if I were Coleman right now. If this doesn't motivate him to raise his game, then maybe he can't raise it. Lastly, I don't know that McDermott will let that slide if it's not really true. I wouldn't.
-
In my opinion, it looks like a pretty tight bond has formed between Terry and Beane. It's Khan/Baalke esque. And the way Terry kept interrupting Beane's answers and all, it gave off very strange vibes.
-
Also I can’t imagine Brady takes this job unless he’s willing to pull a Top Ten Anime Betrayals type move on McDermott. McDermott picked his ass up off the concrete midseason when the panthers fired him and gave him a job. Dude would be coaching at Liberty University if not for McDermott.

Pegula was all over the place. He embarrassed and contradicted himself like crazy. https://x.com/BillyM_91/status/2013995929905369342?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^2013995929905369342|twgr^154a350e928fdfdae8baeadc6cb0963d9ce4952b|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fftw.usatoday.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fnfl%2F2026%2F01%2F21%2Fnfl-video-terry-pegula-keon-coleman-bills-brandon-beane%2F88284627007%2F "I'm glad [Coleman] ran that," Beane said. "It'll help to get him."
