  1. Past hour
  2. There is a difference in having a cannon for an arm and just having the arm strength to put the ball where it needs to be in a timely fashion. Bryce throws floaters anytime he has to put any depth on the ball because his arm is subpar, its undeniable. Brady and Montana both had the arm to put the ball anywhere on the field and could rip deep balls when needed. I never seen a fuging Brady pass float like Bryce. The only guy i could say was remotely close to throwing up poo like that was Russel Wilson but even he has a stronger arm than Bryce. You would be hard pressed to find any QB that has been allowed this many starts at the NFL level with a comparable arm to Bryce.
  3. Remembers its never Bryce's fault.... Thats the NFL, shits not going to be perfect every game....You need a QB that can get you through those times, not one that disappears and struggles to top 150 yards.
  4. Today
  5. That's probably as fair an analysis as it gets. Skeptical that he's the long term answer, but not ruling him completely out since he has room to grow. Highs are ok, but lows are very bad. Most of us are realistic and don't think he's the future, but hope he can win us some games because as of now he's our guy.
  6. I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive, almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
  7. The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him. Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game. So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
  8. I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
  9. I must apologize, my sarcasm at times doesnt translate well in text form lol. At this point I would welcome us signing him, Trey Lance, trading for Jameis Winston, asking about Deshaun Watson and playing phone tag with Tom Brady before I ever fully entertain a season of Bryce Young being the defacto Starting Quarterback of the Panthers.
  10. Petey Pablo raises up for the Carolina Panthers pregame at the Roaring Riot tailgate. videoplayback (30).mp4
  11. We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
  12. Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.
  13. And Dilfer won a SB, idc. Almost impossible to miss the playoffs when you have that good of a defense
  14. Yooooooooo... WTF is this hairline bro??? It's OVER! Shave it off my man!
  15. He's a free agent next year actually. Wish we had the balls to bring him in to compete, looking around the league though he might get a legit starting offer or at least an offer to compete somewhere that he would control his own destiny.
  16. I don't love Bryce Young. I DO understand his abilities as a QB. I dont expect him to do things that are beyond that. I also dont hold it against him. The ability to throw 40 yards in with the velocity to take your receivers hands off, doesn't have the impact on the game as people think it does. I think it's a pretty silly thing to even attempt to debate, when the ones crying about it doesn't add context. Bryce can and does throw deep. His last TD to T-Mac was a thing of beauty, and the ball placement was incredible, especially for the distance of the throw. I get it y'all want to talk all day about his physical limitations, rather than look at what he does, and does well. We wouldn't be playing meaningful football in December without him. That is a fact. Bryce doesn't fit the mold of my type of QB, but I don't hold that against him. That is beyond stupid.
  17. Your wrong. I dont love Bryce. Until you can speak of him without being biased one way or another, there is zero point taking about him to you, or anyone else. Not all QBs are the same. In fact, very few are just alike. I didn't ignore anything. It just taking to you about something your raised in a negative way, is like bashing my hand with a hammer.
  18. Im happy were at least in the playoffs but will we go anywhere, heck no. I really think you guys have a better chance than us in the playoffs.
  19. He played well but had to leave the game late with the shoulder injury from last week flaring up. His last couple of passes looked like Bryce balls. They were completed but they had no juice.
  20. The Packers could've had any QB in NFL history tonight and it wouldn't have mattered. Their D had NO answer to Derrick Henry.
  21. It’s like Billy Bean took his on base percentage to the NFL. Zzzz. Yes it might work but watching it in action is boring.
  22. Seriously. Bro got called up from the PS just to hit a guy right in the hands and for it to turn into an INT. Damn...
  23. This one hurts. Losing at home hurts more for some reason.
