Seems like Ward fell victim to being lumped in with the overall weak QB class when honestly he had the makeup both physically and from a stats perspective of a typical #1 overall QB. Adam Thielen's one handed catch last year in OT against the Bucs was the best catch I have seen by a Panther in several years. To bad we wasted it.

That catch he made in perfect bracket coverage between Sherman and Thomas who were probably the #1 CB and #1 FS in the league at the time honest to God might be the best single catch in Panthers history.

We started out last season with two of the ugliest lopsided losses in franchise history after holding out our starters for most of preseason. And before that in camp our defense actually looked halfway formidable against our offense. That same defense ended up being one of the worst ever. Skepticism is justified until we see some good results early in the season whether folks like it or not. That comes with the territory of not having a winning season in going on 8 years now.
