This is the week BY9 confuses us all again…
HaricotVert replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
At the end of the day I dont want a QB that wins one week with 0 TDs/1 INT & 102yds looses one week with a 0 TDs/1 INT & 124yds wins one week with a 4 TDs & 325yds in a 3 week span. Thats not consistency you can build a team around - the fact that they are 2-1 in that stretch be damned -
I don’t think Payton could fix Bryce’s problems. But maybe if he would have been here he would have fixed the Bryce problem.

Do they practice down field throws at practice?
ncsfinest21 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I remember BY Pro day. He had to get alot of air on the ball just to get it downfield. The receivers had to either slow down or it was over thrown. You could tell he didnt have the arm strength and this is why I believe he didnt do the combine. All the while, I was watching Stroud drop dimes with precision. 3 years in, the same is true. Bryce doesnt have the arm strength and he cant develop the timing to compensate for it. Which was why I was advocate for Sean Payton being coach. -

4 TDs & 325 yard...those are like his lifetime stats against Atl. -

I think Brees was about as small as you can be and still be able to play QB in the NFL. He looks quite a bit bigger than Young and wasn't allergic to the weight room. Brees was also one of the most motivated players ever. -
It tracks to me. The adage about not judging a draft pick before three year is one thing. The thought that the first year should get thrown out because of Reich and the OL and no weapons that was so popular. Thinking you have to give the QB whisperer more than a season to see results seems reasonable. We are coming up on that deadline now and the switch could flip the same as it did for many of Bryce’s supporters.

Just a HC and his staff not managing his rookies like they should. Knowing his MO it's probably the players responsibility. I do find it funny that it came off like he was addressing it publicly and not privately either. Very ironic

There is a photo of Brees Bryce and I think Stroud. He is clearly taller than Bryce maybe 2-3 inches. -

They were 5-4 after years now of never being above .500. I don’t think that is a lose the locker room situation. He allowed them to become overconfident and didn’t slap them back into focus.

Is Canalas losing the locker room?
Khaki Lackey replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he's just telling the team not to embarrass their teammates publicly. Not a big deal IMO -

I'm not sure why everyone is so confident that he can't pull off another late season mirage just to screw us long term. -
Surely players know , what we fans know right?

With accuracy. That's been the most disappointing thing to me with Bryce. I don't watch college ball, so I just assumed with his lack of size and arm strength that he was sure to have pinpoint accuracy. Boy howdy, was that assumption wrong. -
Lol not happening

Canales is telling us, but we aren’t listening
Khaki Lackey replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not necessarily. Suggesting that they don't throw their brothers-in-arms under the bus publicly isn't really the worst idea. I'm pretty much out on Dave C. but this might be a non-issue. -

how many times has he even passed for more than 300 yards 2 times in his career? passing for 200 plus is an extreme rarity. he is what he is win or loose he is a 125 yards per game qb with 1td 1int and 1fumble -

Now it's being reported as sprained. He had a fractured in that thumb in 2015 that he didn't need surgery for but made him miss the final 3 games. I 2018 he had torn thumb ligaments that let to him being IRed but the site didn'tsay whoch hand. Even if he was healthy he has looked like poo since his last fun game agaisnt the Raiders last year. It's crazy, just put him on IR and move on already.

Really, there was a lot of talk about him being over-reported in the height department. The guy could really sling that ball, though. -

Who is/are this "us" you are referring to? As for me, I've seen more than enough for the past 2+ years for me. We are in a QB hole & the first thing to get out is to stop digging.
