  1. Past hour
  2. Good point but did Michael pay his dues like Dan has by being a grunt in a personnel/scouting wing of an NFL team? (He has worked at this for years, Jordon wrote a check. still, I hear you) I expect more from Dan when it comes to defense, and especially linebacking.
  3. What could go wrong with two chronically injured QBs?
  4. I want to believe Tillis is that type but I’m willing to bet he was the driving force between the Wharton deal which is scary to think about if that’s the case
  5. I watched the GOAT royally fug up everything with the Hornets so I don't put a whole lot of stock in people that played should know better
  6. I’m just saying. That is where things are with the media and the fan speculation. I pretty much agree with you. We do have Luke and Morgan that have some knowledge. I mean, I can’t imagine a world that Dan and Luke haven’t had some conversations. Along with our coaches. They might surprise us. I would be with most others, very disillusioned with Morgan if he fugs up the LB decisions.
  7. Falcons want Tua and penix together
  8. I steer clear of it altogether. It's even more tribal now-a-days. You can generally tell a person's, let's call it 'persuasion' by which one they use.
  9. Today will be telling. Don't get me wrong - I hope we land a solid LB, but I just don't want to see over-our-ski shenanigans. Feel like Tillis is a sound mind in our FO so hope the steadiness of his approach wins out. So sure, land a guy. But if we see a headline later today like- "Panthers sign Lloyd to a $22 mil/year", that'll be tough to swallow/scream a bit too much desperation. Sure, cap is whatever to us fans, but do we really want to be THAT team? Desperately paying an offball LB who doesn't excel in coverage more than Roquan and Fred Warner. Just seems dicey. Draft wise, I'm heavy on the CJ Allen train (waiting until post-FA to discuss more); think he's perfect for what we need and in ideal range. Pair him with Edmunds who you can sign for like $10-12 mil/yr.
  10. Being worried about Geno Smith stealing your job, lol. I thought being mentally tough was Bryce's strength? Sounds pretty weak to me.
  11. I never feel good after reading it. It only fulfills me if I keep it strictly to music, sports, specific interests that have no overlap with any current events. Which is hard to do. But it can be done. That is why I like a message board that is a one trick pony. This one is about the Panthers and NFL ball. I have a favorite music one, fishing and boating, according to my interests.
  12. Hes the people’s choice because they YouTube Devin Lloyd and see him making 5 interceptions last season and don’t actually watch the games
  13. Yep. Every single platform is a toxic wasteland. Including this one sometimes.
  14. Social media is a poison in general.
  15. Okay but I didn’t say anything about 21 million. Lloyd is the people’s choice for one of the top handful of FA targets. A star. I said starting level. Lots of names with lower prices fit that description
  16. I would be happy with Freeling or Fano in R1. I really don't see how we don't draft OL in R1. I honestly could see us trade back for one of our mid round picks to grab one extra and draft up to 3 linemen in this draft. There is good guard/swing linemen available rounds 4 and later.
  17. A starting level pro at 21 million who was often subbed out on 3rd down? No thanks. That’s something incompetent franchises do. There’s so many other FA LB’s that would give us similar production at a cheaper rate
  18. One crap hole into another. Both twitter and bluesky suck.
  19. We have absolutely been short sighted. Fixated on weapons for Bryce mostly. And that stupid fuging trade to 1.1, all those picks. It cuts your options down so bad. And as bad as it was, we made it worse by creating a huge hole where there wasn’t one with DJ Moore. How many picks were spent trying to fill that hole? Combine them with the picks sent to Chicago…. it’s bartender give me another…. I think it was highly likely that they used a later pick on OT in this draft due to Moton’s situation, before the Icky stuff. We can’t know now.
  20. We don't have deep pockets this year. Morgan is having to sit on the sidelines of the first couple of rounds of free agency before he can dive in and begin competing. Right now, if it's a name you're really familiar with out there... don't expect us to get them.
  21. We don’t know that yet. And, I am hoping a diamond is in the draft, whoever they sign. To me the idea is get a starting level pro, and draft his sidekick who hopefully will outshine him in year two. That doesn’t mean pay the star though.
