  1. Past hour
  2. Chubba has done his best since he's gotten here. He has been the definition of keep pounding the entire time. But I would have replaced him before extending him. I am never in favor of having a RB on an extended contract. I would draft one every year or pick up another Rico on a 1 year deal over and over.
  3. One of the upsides of being a jack of all trades is you don't telegraph play calls with sub packages. Maybe that's what Dave is scared of?
  4. Yep. Good rotational RB who put together a career year and leveraged that into a payday. Good for him. The good thing about his contract is it's pretty light on guaranteed money. We're not really tied down by it if we need to get out from under it.
  5. Well, last week we were starting Dalton with Hendon Hooker as backup while Mike White was forced to stay on the practice squad...
  6. I think we should’ve kept him . Pass rushers don’t grow on trees . I also feel like we should’ve took the rams deal . No way you let him go for a second rd pick smh
  7. Im sure it did against our defense. He will not fair so well against the Packers defense.
  8. Chuba is a jack of all trades. He's good enough at everything but he's not particularly remarkable at anything.
  9. I was mentally prepared for it. And mentally prepared if Young actually showed I was wrong about him. I am not mentally prepared for hocus pokus-ing (pocus?) a string of mediocre outings plus one or two good ones turning it into another year of him starting. FWIW I read Person said Bryce took all the 1st team snaps today and it went well
  10. Looks like he was just doing too good for us and DC/Tepper can't stand that. We are probably looking to trade DB and Horn also so that way we can get back to the cellar of the NFL where we belong...
  11. Normally I’d agree but Rico also had 1000 last year and is fully capable of getting above that this year, the guy is legit.
  12. Yea and I never would have thought any team was trading for Mingo in week 10. And we got a fourth for him. Positional difference granted but Dowdle is world's apart from Mingo in terms of pure and proven skillset. The Patriots, Vikings, Steelers, Chiefs, Chargers could all be possible's.
  13. Sure I can agree with that. What I said was my preference Unfortunately, based on what you said... I do think if the Panthers trade a RB it would be Rico because he is probably gone after the season. If they do end up trading him though, it tells me they don't think they're good enough to maybe win the division.. otherwise you run Rico full time.
  14. Its a comedy of errors. Unfortunately you will have to watch this comedy 9 more times before it's over. Let's hope that's all we have to endure it.
  15. Dude ran for almost 1200 last year and the majority of posters are calling him JAG. Everyone forgets the plug and play, any RB will do, Cameron Artis Payne era where everyone was shrieking for a big signing or high draft pick.
  16. I think Mayfield was just in shitty situations. I mean, he did the unimaginable and got the playoffs one year in Cleveland. As soon as he was out from under the poo show of the Browns and Panthers he blossomed immediately. Darnold is basically a guy who needs to be treated as a high level game manager. He's a guy who can make all the throws but you have to avoid putting too much on his plate or the turnover issues will show their head. I honestly doubt he's ever going to be the QB for a team that makes real post season noise just because as soon as you really have to lean into him I think he's gonna break. It's just who he is. Jones? We'll see. I think he's basically just leaning on the best RB in the league right now. He had a decent year in NY leaning on Saquan too and that's what led the Giants to making the mistake of paying him. He's probably in that Darnold category of being a high end game manager who can make all the throws but you have to be careful to protect him from himself.
  17. There's a limit to how many times a solid player should be extend. Age catches up to everyone.
  18. A little variation on tanking I guess. I already never really wanted to see Bryce again and after his brain dead outing on Sunday I never want to see Andy again either. Hell of a situation.
  19. Seems like the landscape for college QBs is changing some of this stuff in a way that may not be really obvious. Because we have the last two or three years, more guys being redeemed. Is it possible they just aren’t as ready and that accounts for some later development?
  20. He may start, he may not. I'm not sure even Canales knows at this point. I'm of the mind that I want it to be so ugly that it forces someone up top to finally do something. If it's going to burn then bring the wood and light the torches.
  21. Okay. I thought this was being used to imply that Dalton would be starting.
  22. It's some lame attempt to make Green Bay prepare for both qb's. Well 3 qb's if you include White but who's counting. It would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous. Like it's really going to make a difference if any of them start.
  23. We have 4 qb's practicing for some reason. I'm sure we'll get a very clear coherent explanation after practice.
