His rookie season bought him forgiveness on my end, but in year three he cannot show regression to that basement-level performance he could barely string together. Yea, things haven't exactly been fair, but very few QBs end up in situations like Mahomes. Hell, even Stroud is struggling this season as the Texans for some reason thought that the best thing to do was detonate their OL. I don't think the team is in a good enough place to drop a rookie QB in. Best case scenario imo, they further build the roster during the offseason and march the team to a top-10 pick behind Bryce in the last year of his deal. If we're picking in the top-10 again, it means Canales isn't the offensive-mind that Tepper thought he was. Grab a reliable vet if there's one available and let the new rookie sit for a year. Last thing I want to do is grab another top QB prospect only to fire the HC after their rookie season. That doesn't exactly go very well for anybody.

What league would those teams play in? Because it isn’t the NFL. -
Demonization is an absurd term to apply in this discussion in relation to Bryce Young. Demonization would be how fans still outwardly rooted against Cam Newton even after he looked like a generational talent earned rookie of the year honors and MVP. This is not that. At all. All that is happening currently are people applying expectations of a first overall pick. Even if we lose even if we aren't good show us flashes of what a #1 pick is supposed to do. Elevate YOUR team. And we are not seeing that.

If you were simply posting the tweet or talking about the content of the tweet, sure. But no... you gotta throw in your bullshit and try to make it about your perception people are unfairly picking on Bryce. I just think it's comical that while you constantly bitch about other people derailing conversation you're literally doing the exact same thing to your own thread. I mean, keep it up. It's entertaining. We need entertainment.

Agree. I DESPISE how he handles the preseason -
By all means, be critical of Bryce. I don't run into the 10+ threads y'all create after every L to complain about him. I don't understand how you can jump to that conclusion outside of being hurt yourself. Since you still want to try and misrepresent, I'll say it one more time clearly for you and anybody else that just can't stand the idea of looking at the other starters on the field: Bryce hasn't played well and does not look like the answer at QB for the Panthers. No disagreement there. The disagreement has always and will always be over the ridiculous demonization of the player + refusal to acknowledge not only what he has done well (let's not pretend he didn't show that he could develop) but also what needs to improve on the team besides him. Do... do you not understand what derailing a thread is? That tweet you giggled over literally lists PFF stats... in a thread about PFF grades from the game? How is that derailing the thread vs. you carrying on? Good Lord, if only Bryce Young were taller maybe you'd be able to better figure it out.

I haven’t listened to it but if Vrabel didn’t get a different QB for his Panthers squad I can’t agree. But here is the thing with that: if you told Vrabel he was tied to Bryce for two years, he would not accept the job, IMO. He doesn’t have to. Canales was only getting a job as HC if he accepted that condition -
So basically Bryce is missing guys left right and center because the OL has injuries. Got it. That's why he played so well in previous week's and this was really his first bad game! Or, is this just 2025 Bryce? It looks a lot like early 2024 Bryce and 2023 Bryce. Maybe late 2024 Bryce was the anomaly.

I’m not suggesting that. i think we’re in Raheem morris bucs territory where he wasn’t fired because they wouldn’t have enough coaches to run practice. but at the end of the year yeah he’s gone bye -
Not a lot of room to make it worse though, from where we are. We could go 0-17. What do you think we will do this year? 3 wins? 4? I think I predicted 6 I know that I did last year. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt there but that is wasted on this QB.
-
But what if he gets hurt. he can't be the back up to every oline position if he's hurt, duh.
-
I think this is right.
-
I think they're just holding him back as a swing tackle just in case. Don't want to risk an injury on the inside when guards are easier to replace.
-
He will only get dump offs cause Bryce cant put enough velocity on the ball to match his speed
-
I don't know why folks feel threatened discussing this stuff. It doesn't excuse Bryce's poor moments. That 4th down throw that he missed TMac on was vomit inducing. At the same time, what do we expect to happen with this type of stuff affecting the play?
-
As you continue to derail your own thread LOLOLOLOL You can't make this stuff up. Clown activity.
-
And I'm talking about you derailing your own thread in your initial post. Speaking of being daft... Your cope is constantly getting bent out of shape about people being critical of Bryce. Look around. People are shitting on Tepper, Morgan, Evero, Canales, the LBs, Moehrig, and on and on but oddly you only take issue with criticisms of a certain individual.

Renfrow better have a long talk with his fellow tiny WR friend Jimmy..... about protecting himself and hosptial balls at this level. Renfrow is bigger than Horn. 2 inches and 10 pounds on him. Bryce really struggles w/ the small WR type.

I don’t know that I would come to that interpretation of those doings. I might agree that they are two different kinds of quarterbacks but I would separate them into the categories of NFL capable and non capable. Reich knew that young was a disaster when he got a close up look at his bag of QB tricks. Word is he wanted to sit him so he could maybe get some remedial coaching to bring him up to snuff for competing against the big boys. He knew the ship would go straight to the bottom with Captain Bryce. Two different kinds of QBs that have success in the NFL are the backyard athletes and the traditional pocket passing surgeons. I think either coach could deal with either style as long as the body and the tools were suited to the job. Maybe not, I can’t think of examples of both kinds for either coach. Vince fuging Lombardi would fail with Bryce and June Jones would also fail with him. My opinion. Edit: I probably meant to say Jim Mora Jr, was looking for the Mike Vick coach.

More eeeeevil PFF data that doesn't exclusively focus on one player.

Yeah, the VP of Football Analytics is a PFF guy and so is the Director of Data Science.

All I can really say is that Canales is coaching himself out of a job at the rate he's going. It's unacceptable to have this team come out seemingly unprepared. -
You do that by showing him Bryce can’t do what’s being asked of him, not by calling dumb plays and being like “trust me bro.”

So FF waiver wire addition this week you say...
