Yeah, I don't think a fresh start can help Young because his issue is that he simply doesn't have the physical tools. This isn't a Baker or Darnold or Daniel Jones. Those guys always had the physical ability to play they were just in bad situations and landed in better situations that were able to maximize what they had to offer rather than dragging down a guy with abilities. Yeah, flaws as well but definitely physical ability. You can't coach Bryce into being able to see over the line or rifle a ball into a tight window or stretch the field. It's about physical limitations with Bryce and situation or coaching can't fix that.

4. Is still some massive BS. If you can't get over a clusterfug then you can't get over pressure from the play before. It doesn't pass the sniff test with Young as more than an empty excuse. A fresh start doesn't fix his true issues and even putting him with a real QB guru isn't going to raise his ceiling even if they can squeeze a slight improvement in production.
-
Yes that's what I was talking about. Scourton was open about the issues but kept the who to himself. I did think that Ickey was after him but apparently not.
-
Huh I thought it was the rookie first. That's even better. Good on Ickey. I guess it really is player led thing
-
my brief summation. 1. Who is it that was lackadaisical? Was it Young Ickey was referring to 2. Canales continues to say the ‘me to connection ; ie qb to receivers is failing 3. Young a great guy but not right as starter for the panthers However, after 2.5 years, too much bad play and too much inconsistency with a stable coaching staff and weapons References Mark Schlerth’s comments… Young couldn’t complete passes downfield 4. Mentions failures with Young due to Tepper in 2023 possibly did damage to Young Maybe young needs a fresh start So do the Panthers wants to see Canales getting a 3rd year with his chosen QB Cox counters, Maye had a bad situation in his rookie year but excelled this year 5. Discussed Young’s data on metric of ‘catchable pass rate’ the metric shows A. Young fails on catchable passes other than 0 to 9 yards B. McMillan is most effective 10 to 19 as one example, of WRs not being allowed to be at their best yardage C all 22 shows Legette is open a lot and ignored 6. Lea discusses the impact of losing Thielen on Young I.e. given young’s comfort with short passes, young misses Thielen Young is starting to replace Adam with Jatevon Sanders and he makes the decision before the snap to go to him regardless

Not speaking for him but we are in such a state that people are getting desperate.

You make a good point.

This is the week BY9 confuses us all again…

Yeah. I still try to do the 24 hour rule. I usually make it at least 10 or so. Sometimes even overnight. Not losing a game in which you scored 13 and 16 is a positive, we could easily have been 0-4. Gave up 76 in those same 4. So we scored 11.25 and gave up 19 ppg. With an offense a team that holds the opposition under 20 should win most games. -

I'm going to bet my house that Young doesn't throw for 325 yards and 4TDs this weekend. -
It wouldn’t even take him having to say much. Something like, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and bam same QB room. Bryce fooled everybody, almost, with his improved play. making them wishfully think he would keep on getting better. And I am ready for that to happen again. It is the sort of thing like when a person dies, you want to see them in the casket before you will believe they are really dead. I have to see him released or traded before I believe he can’t come back and bite me.

Mike White.....anybody but Bryce at this point

We all need to take a step back, DC has won 5 games with BY9 at QB this year...that is a miracle of coaching if you ask me. Let's poo on him a bit when he can't win with a real QB.

The last 4 games the team has scored 45 points, total. 11.25 PPG. And we are 2-2. That can’t be sustained. -

Setting himself up for a good ole fashioned buzz kill -
Well that is the thing. The defense vs offense finger pointing could emerge. It is a bit different than what I think we are looking at with this now. Now there are guys from both unit’s commenting on basically a lack of discipline I guess I would call it.

ESPN's Benjamin Solak on Panthers QB situation
OldhamA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
There's a pre-Draft pick of Brees and Young stood next to each other. Brees is about 2 inches taller and we know Young is 5'10" from his Combine measurements. -
I just think the QB sucks, man.
-
Plus there's only about 5 guys he needs to keep onside (Horn, Brown, T-Mac, Ekwonu, Scourton). If it comes to a tussle, I'd happily eject half the roster.

Is Canalas losing the locker room?

Nothing like publicly slapping the hand of an emerging team leader who is trying to establish a culture of accountability. Good stuff Dave. -
Oh okay. I didn’t realize he had a thing. Just saw that one video at random. I might go look and see who else sucks lol.
-
Icky spoke on it first and he endured both Rhule and Frank
