  1. Past hour
  2. I'll be surprised if Simpson falls that low. I think teams will like how quick he gets rid of the ball. There are enough QB desperate teams in the top 12 between Cleveland, Raiders, Jets, possibly Rams (Stafford is up there in age), and possibly the Vikings if they think JJ is Jamarcus Russell 2.0
  3. Maybe Bryce is playing the long con where he intentionally looks like ass 3/4 of the game and then when teams expect him to continue to be bad, he actually plays halfway decent and manages to lead the 4th Q comeback drive TD
  4. Anyone who says Bryce is this or isn't this is just basically pulling it out of their ass at this point. No one knows whether Bryce is the man or if Bryce is a total washout. I don't know it, you don't know it. Canales doesn't know it. Heck, even Bryce doesn't know it. He's either learning his game or he's just getting lucky. He's either putting the team on his back for wins or he's causing the losses and deficits all on his own. The only thing that Bryce is, at this point in his career, is a quandary. We'll have to just keep watching to see how it turns out. At least it's interesting in December for the Panthers for once in a long, long while.
  5. As of this moment the Panthers are basically a seesaw. Let's win out the season and go from there.
  6. Bruce Arians said when evaluating a college prospect they have to win on 3rd down and in the 2 min drill to be successful in the nfl.
  7. We took Luke when we had Jon Beason, and a hurt Jonathon Brooks when we had Chuba. Just noting. I don't think teams are going to pass up on an impact player regardlessly if whether they need something else. There's a good argument that drafting an inferior player, and especially an obviously inferior player, based upon need is a pathway to failure. I'm glad we took Tetairoa McMillan even though there were arguably bigger needs.
  8. As much as I'd love Cam or Mahomes I'd also settle for a QB that is at least better than average at something other than 4th quarter comebacks/game winning drives. He's literally bottom third in the league in most categories (yards, completion percentage, int percentage/turnovers, YPA, IAYPA, QBR and QB rating) and right around average in a couple others, notably TD % where he is 15th and YAC/PA where he is 9th. If Bryce can improve I'll be happy with him. But all this stuff about us asking for perfection / insane ability is a bit ridiculous. Most of us "haters" just see a QB that is basically below average over his career to date and has shown relatively little consistency in his third year. NFL offenses don't need 400 yards every week at all, but they do require a QB that can move the ball, and Bryce struggles often with that (hence why our overall offensive rank is so bad despite an overall good rushing rank).
  9. Say what you want about Bryce and I’m still pretty doubtful but no one can argue against the fact he’s actually improved quite drastically since year one. Rams game would’ve been a Blowout in 23
  10. I think we need Cowboys to lose, as they're closest to a wildcard situation that would impact us
  11. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that if Bryce Young played at a pro bowl level this team has the talent to win it all.
  12. Who should we root for to lose this evening between the Cowboys and Lions?
  13. Saints did a good job of not rushing him out this year. Having a former QB as a coach probably helps. He is an older rookie so unfortunately he has to figure it out quickly which is far he has done.
  14. And it's an easier position to play. An 18 game season combined with the current offseason training restrictions... What could possibly go wrong?
  15. Said before and it's still true...a lot of folks either don't understand or don't appreciate just how much of a unicorn Newton really was.
  16. Never was... Regardless of draft position or talent level, you still gotta have the right coaching. Good coaching can shape a lesser round or even an undrafted player into a solid starter. Poor coaching can tale a top overall pick and turn him into a massive bust. There's about a hundred other factors that go into making a great NFL quarterback of course, but if you don't start with good coaching you're already operating at a disadvantage.
  17. They think every QB should be prime Cam or Mahomes. And further that those types of players just grow on trees and are freely available to draft if we just lose enough games to get the first overall pick.
  18. Surprising? His QBR is lower than Spencer Rattler’s. He’s thrown 5 TDS and 4 INTs and is 26 years old. He’s Brandon Weeden or Chris Weinke. An old guy on a terrible team who can put up mediocre stats and convince a few morons that he might be the guy. Some of yall need to be out of the amateur football evaluation business.
  19. Today
  20. “Playing oddly well” He is 1-3
  21. Young's performance in that game will matter, but I'm honestly more interested in what Canales does. He got hilariously outcoached in that game so I'm anxious to see how he responds in a rematch.
  22. So basically, just admitting you've got nothing, here?
  23. Dude broke our running percentage gag
