It wasn't the coverage, it was the pass rush scheme. Zone defense behind a dominant pass rush has always been a recipe for great D. That was what the original Seattle Legion of Boom was built around. The overloaded the left side of the Pats OL all night long knowing those rookies wouldn't be able to handle it. And just like Shula in SB50, McDaniels refused to adjust to it. Just like Shula, he just stuck his head in the sand and pretended that somehow it would just magically start working out at some point.

Well, that was a game that existed. Oh, and it sounds like a war zone outside my place right now. Figures.

Seattle's defense owned a lot of offensive lines. Maybe not to that extent, but they are a great defense. And Maye got rattled. But the biggest difference was that Seattle could run the ball, which took a little pressure off Darnold. New England couldn't run it a lick.

Ummm 90% cover 2/3 isn't what I'd call a great defensive mind....

He was atrocious until garbage time

Thought it was a pretty easy call on who would win this game. After I saw Seattle come into BOA, and we saw SF and LA Rams, I had them favored.

Best team we played all year won it rather easily. Least shocking outcome ever.

Their offensive line got owned tonight. That made all the difference.

Felt like Cam in SB50. He just didn't stand a chance. Overwhelmed OL and an OC who refused to adapt on the fly.

Darnold might get it for sympathy/struggling for all these years and because he is the qb. The one thing Darnold did was not turn the ball over. Although a couple of those early passes could have been pick sixes.

Lol. Seahawks fans are a special breed of asshole. Never met a group that deserved to be punched in the taint repeatedly more, except maybe Bruins fans.
