I see Quinn Ewers. He's a decent college QB but probably not someone who should be starting for a blue blood program and I'm definitely not seeing someone who projects as an NFL starter.

Why is everyone focused on BY while the real problem is ignored

Ugh Cade I know his best OL + WR are out but at this point he's literally tripping over his own two feet. I was blown away seeing some of the first-round projections on him coming into this season. Still a looot of ball left to play tho. Hopefully he gets things moving.
-
Problems on both sides of the ball. They do not look like the #12 team in the country, and a loss to the unranked Jackets should drop them out of the top 25. It's early in the game, but Tech has pretty much done whatever they wanted.
-
They had the entire offseason to find someone to run the football (which isn’t hard to find). Dabo still trotting out a WR to pretend to be the RB. There offense just flat out will be work without it. O is just Cade and Cade isn’t a QB that can just one man show it. that falls on Dabo. An easy and obvious problem and his loyalty gonna cost him again
-
Sure looks like it. Their D in particular looks like trash to supposedly have two top 5 picks on the DL. They're on pace to give up 500 yards to GT.
-
I keep getting this funny feeling that Clemson isn't actually very good this season.
-
No way Deshaun Fosters job survives this season.

We don't need another Cam Newton in terms of generational physicality. We need a guy who has elements of his mentality and approach to the game. Our two best QB's in franchise history both carried themselves a certain way. They were unapologetically vocal and they were confident. They had a personality others gravitated toward. They weren't quiet and meek. That's what we need to be looking for. Along with the basic necessary physical tools. So basically the complete opposite of what we've been currently trying to make work.
-
As others have said though, he was getting tons of hype, especially at the beginning of the year, about how he was going to be the next big thing. Landed with a thud.
-
Numbers are what they are, but I think what I was saying was he would benefit by staying another year at the college level, or sitting his 1st NFL year because there is a bit of that risk, that like Richardson, he is not prepared for the challenge of what the next level would present. That said, I stand by the statement that we would probably draft him if given the chance, and then promptly begin the process of absolutely ruining him.

I know it's only been 1 week, but if Bryce was the Franchise QB he would have picked up where he left off last year. He just does not have the measurables to run Canales's offense.
-
Even in the midst of his many very low points and very few brief mid points his passing output has been absurdly low for any QB let alone a first overall pick. Here's a simple comparison. One of these guys is Bryce Young. The other is a UDFA and a career backup currently. 3322 passing yards - 12 starts 3346 passing yards - 21 starts Which one do you think is Bryce?
-
We all know it, but there are def receipts in that building of who wanted Young and who wanted stroud. I know the company like was that EVERYONE (lol thats funny) down to a man in that building wanted young but if morgan had reservations then that should play well with tepper. If he was dying on the bryce hill with the rest then thats a problem So was a certain owner
-
Sellers should put on a display tonight, hopefully he does.
-
Cam is gone and he ain’t coming back. Move on. I have to see better passing but he is very talented.
-
I seriously wonder how bad Bryce has to be for some you to get it.
-
Making things up isn't nuance. People on this board were spamming that "big time throw" metric that said Bryce Young was a better passer than Josh Allen Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow for months. Turned out to be a fugazi. Shocking.
-
This is way too smart for this crowd. No room for nuance in football debate.
-
Miscommunications not included. He’s throwing to a Rookie and a bunch of second year question marks. You don’t think there’s miscommunication out there?

Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?
frankw replied to OldhamA's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Tepper's are still involved behind the scenes unfortunately. When Fitterer leaves and we're still drafting the same mold of WR's after busts TMJ and Mingo and we're trading up for injured RB's it's more than just Morgan being inept. Dan although a good guy and a Panthers legend is clearly IMO taking much of his cues from ownership. We have cut off our nose to spite our face in order to surround Bryce with as much talent as possible in order to attempt to "fix" him and justify the investment in direct detriment to the rest of the roster. And that points directly to the Tepper's. -

There is a reason that Peters walked from Tepper's mess during the interview process. Using more info to help? Sure. Drafting by PFF and hiring those people in house? Just setting up for failure again IMO. I'm a little shocked Morgan signed up for that being a football guy. I know his front office skills/history falls on the pro side and not the draft side but the current set up isn't going to work IMO. Tepper is great at finding dead ends vs just learning the sport and doing that vs trying to reinvent the wheel. It was always Tepper's system which these people signed up for so still zero excuses there.
