He was a bust before he was drafted. Not NFL material. -
New York Times: Is Panthers QB Bryce Young a Lost Cause
Moose Hoover replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ok so I think I understand the picture a little better now. Full disclosure, I took all of last season off...this is really the first season since 2019 I have paid attention. So we brought in canales to do his thing with the qb. That's why it is a QB issue and not a coach issue. So I stand by my joke comment, bring in russ, make him hold it down til we draft a goodern. -
The Queen of Australia is getting divorced, and now this. I don't know how much more I can take.

Prospect evaluation is always going to be more art than science. The guys who have all the measurables and all the production go really high in the draft. Once you get past those handful of the prospects all the rest have warts and you have to sort through it and try to figure out the ones who are going to be able to overcome their shortcomings on paper. And even then, some of those picture perfect prospects on paper are STILL gonna bust.

I remember the times of how the Huddle bitched about not drafting enough athletes. Then we switched to purely athletes with no abilities. Oh how the turns have tabled.
-
I don’t see how it could be a lot worse. I am sure it could be but we are talking degrees and there are stretches of time where we have subjected to the worst QB play I can remember seeing, that didn’t come from a backup or a rookie. Not the one off whacky butt fumble type play, just down after down of yuck. I think I might have to go watch Jimmy Clausen tape for therapy.

With the 1st Pick in the 2026 Draft....

I think you are missing the point. All these guys had elite attributes. Arm strength, accuracy, athleticism, etc. Those were things Bryce didn't truly have. So, look AT THE BARE MINIMUM for that as a starting point. -
Say it brother!

Perfect Way to Sum up how poo the Panthers Are.

We're getting to the point that comparing us to the Cleveland Browns is insulting to the Cleveland Browns. -

My thoughts exactly! -
I understand that. The guy has made plenty of money. It would feel like a slap in the face for a seasoned vet to be offered a PS role and just not be financially worth it. I'd be the same. Either sign me and play me or I'm not interested. Seems a fair ask. If no one's interested, hang 'em up and enjoy retirement.

I grew up in a baseball family. Wasn't allowed to play golf for fear that it would mess with my swing. I haven't even thrown a baseball in 5 years...meanwhile I can only imagine how good I would be if I started golf back then...golf and tennis and scholastic bowl and band is the way to go.
-
I suspect it's even worse behind closed doors than we imagine, as scary as that thought is. I mean, the way Tepper conducted his last GM and HC searches said a LOT IMO. He approached it like a guy who knew top candidates weren't even entertaining the job so he avoided them to avoid being publicly rebuked by top candidates.
-
Just popping in here to break kayfabe and say good job brother...great stuff!
-
He worked out for the Ravens yesterday but they wanted him on the PS Squad and he wanted signed straight to the roster so it fell through.
-
I suspect we'll never know exactly what's going on at BoA but man do I wish that we could get a tell-all of the last few years. I don't care about Rhule but from Reich onward...
-
It's difficult for me to imagine that he's worse than Wallace or Rozeboom much less the guys behind them on the depth chart.
-
Christensen is starting this week
-
My point is that there are 32 head coaches, all of which in the same high pressure job. But none of the other coaches look like they are as stressed out and defeated as the coaches under Tepper. These guys look like they are in the last week of BUDS at a certain point.
-
Yep, total poo show, aka Tepper's Panthers in a nutshell. This is one of those situations where Tepper SHOULD get involved as an owner. Not in the draft room. Not in weekly haze fests disguised as "meetings". But when you have two subordinates publicly squabbling seemingly over who has final say over the depth chart, you should step in and sit them down and make it very clear who has that authority. Either hey Dave, like we discussed Evero had final say over his unit or hey Ejiro, Dave is the HC and final depth chart say is his. We clear here? Good. I don't want to hear anymore bullshit about you two going at each other about this in the press. That makes us all look like fuging jackasses and we're doing a good enough job of that without giving them extra ammo.
-
I would have Eric Kendricks in there TODAY.
-
It looks like Morgan signed Deejay Dallas to keep him around. Arizona already lost James Conner and Trey Benson is injured now. Dallas played for the Cardinals last year.
-
Oh look, another player that will see the field before Brady Christensen.
-
I think DTR is available
-
lol this was a joke lineup mostly...but it wasn't too bad actually...other than mconkey. dang I should have actually played this one
